1971 SHORT BED CHEVROLET C-10 (FLEETSIDE) 350 V8 CHEYENNE WITH A/C
Up for bid is a 1971 Chevrolet C10 factory short bed truck. This is a Cheyenne edition fleet-side. Factory 5 lug, with disc brakes and power steering. Original AC truck. It has a 350 V8 good-wrench motor in it that runs good (low milage on motor and they are very reliable engines). It has the factory 3 speed manual transmission in it that has been converted to floor shift. It does still have the original steering column. It has the original quadra-jet carb with electric choke on it with a recent rebuild. Long tube headers have been installed on it. It has the original large radiator. Factory rear cargo light. Comes with the original headliner (not installed). It does run drive and stop. To be road ready it will need the clutch serviced and the linkages on the transmission serviced (the linkages are sloppy). The clutch doesn't slip but the pedal stays closer to the floor then it should be. The truck drives good but wouldn't recommend taking it on the road until linkages and clutch are serviced. The truck does crank right up cold or hot and goes into all gears. The truck has a patina look to it and is better suited as a shop truck or beat around truck like it sits. It has a newer seat cover and dash pad. It has all the chrome around the windows. The lights and wipers work all the electrical seems to be in good condition. All the gauges seem to work as well. The truck has a good solid cowl wall, drip rail is in good shape, the floor pans look good from what I can see, all the windows roll up and down. The doors open and close good. The truck does have a rusty bed, rockers, fenders and cab corners even though they are not as bad as some. Just want to be clear it has most of all the typical rust areas so don't expect a restored truck for this price. It would need a complete restoration to be a show truck. The frame is solid and everything is secure on the vehicle. This will be a great truck to have fun in without breaking the bank! Also a great restoration project as these trucks are easy and affordable to work on. They are extremely hard to find with AC like this (short beds) especially. No trades, LOW RESERVE PRICE!
