Car description |
---|
This is a Real Deal Original California 1955 Chevy Belair Hardtop, V8 265, automatic trans, Power steering, all original car, Runs and drives good, all that is left to do is the interior and setting the glass, This 55 was purchased from southern California in 1992 and spent most its life there before that, the engine/trans were rebuilt right after the purchase and appear to be original but not certain, the engine pad is stamped (0263960 T55F, it was removed from storage and painted last year and the exterior color was changed to light green and Ivory from the original salmon and Ivory, I would rate the paint a 9 out of 10 with only minor blemishes, the interior is factory light green and Ivory and needs re covered but its all there, all the chrome/stainless, trim, windows(except windshield) window regulators, all come with it, the bumpers and much of the chrome is original and has been rechromed (not reproduction) The factory front push bar and rear bumper extentions are original and have been rechromed and will go with the car but have not been bolted back on yet. We cannot find any rust issues anywhere and the body work was done with almost no body filler and the panels are very straight, we cannot find any evidence of it ever being damaged other than a small dent that was repaired in the passenger door, the floors and frame are solid and original, the underside of the car has its original factory undercoating still there and has not been restored, the interior and trunk floors have been re sealed and are in excellent condition, the dash, lights, heater, wipers, power steering, dash lights, etc. are in good working order, this car can be driven now and runs well, I have loaded all the parts into the car and bolted the front seat back in, there were thousands of dollars spent on seals, chrome parts, trim, clips, windshield seal, new wing window frames, etc. and it all goes with it, The interior painted trim pieces are painted current body color as they were factory and are wrapped up in a box, all the interior and exterior chrome and stainless also are there, I do not have room or time to finish or I would never sell it as these original unmolested hardtops are very hard to find, simply finish the interior and windows and you have a 40k to 45k car easily, clean clear title in my name, No trades, Pay pal deposit of 1000.00 required with in 12 hrs of auction end, wire transfer or cash for balance due with in seven days, I will sell to USA and Canada only! I may end the auction early as I may list locally, please email me if you have questions, thank you.On Feb-07-18 at 19:17:39 PST, seller added the following information:
It has been driven less than one mile since its engine and transmission rebuild in 1992 (aprox). starts and runs excellent with no smoke, has newer factory style duel exhaust. this car has been stored since the 1980's.
