Featuring outstanding curb appeal and having ventured fewer than 7000 miles down the road since its extensive restoration, this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Pro Touring offers its next lucky owner the chance to acquire an exceptionally well-configured muscle car icon - a car that would be equally at home waging war at local car shows as it would be providing miles and miles of high-powered yet worry free driving exhilaration.
This Camaro cuts a thoroughly impressive appearance. Its metallic blue paint is in good form, with a nice even shine under a great clear coat, and the finishing touches we generally look for in a classic like this are present and accounted for. It's well-aligned, with tight, even lines, flush-fitting body panels and doors and hood that open and close smoothly. Both the front and rear bumpers are clearly level and sport unblemished chrome and even under closer inspection, its chrome trim throughout is nice and straight and its badging very sharp, including the prominent "SS" emblems on all four sides. The windshield and door glass feature a near-new look and the surrounding rubber seals appear to have recently been replaced, as well. Up front, that aggressive hood scoop sits at just the right height to provide a custom look and additional clearance without being so dramatic as to be distracting and has clean lines and a smooth flowing curvature as it extends back toward the windshield.
The black vinyl interior blends a stock look with some well-chosen aftermarket upgrades. Both the bucket seats in front - which straddle a completely refurbished center console - and the bench seat in back are very much in their prime, showing almost no wear at all. The dash area behind the custom "SS" steering wheel has been refurbished and adds to a great driving experience. It remains largely in its original configuration but now sports fresh ProComp gauges in place of the stock speedometer and tachometer, while an additional quartet of gauges resides in the center console. Your audio needs are looked after via a Sony AM/FM/CD system that powers pairs of Sony speakers in front and back. In every respect, it's a very well configured motoring environment, and as you slide into the driver's seat and grip the floor shifter, you can appreciate what a blast this car would be to drive, even before you turn the key in the ignition. A full-sized spare showing lots of tread sits alongside a protective car cover in the trunk, whose fresh-looking and undented floor and interior wheel houses serve as further testimony that this vintage Chevy has been looked after well.
A Chevy 350 V8 sits underneath the scooped hood. It's been bored .30 over and carries TRW pistons and a pair of Trick Flow heads to up its performance abilities and, with a Holley Tuned Port Injection system sitting up top, you'll get both all-weather dependability and easy adjustability that's just not possible with a carburetor. It's matched up with a Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission known for its rugged dependability and breathes into a pair of ceramic-coated headers. To insure the 350's power meets the asphalt as efficiently as possible, both traction bars and subframe support have been added to the mix. This well-equipped classic Camaro sits on a set of truly show-stopping 18" KMC wheels, outfitted with Nexen radials.
