Car description |

1970 Chevrolet Camaro
No engine or transmission are in the car. I was preparing to do an LS swap. Included with the car are a 5.3 ( 139,000 miles ) 2000 Silverado Engine and a 4L60 ( rebuilt) transmission with a new in the box converter and flexplate.
I have been told this is a BASE model Camaro.NOT an RS or Z-28.Body:The body is very solid with the worst rust spots shown in the pictures.1) a little spot over the front rear tire quarter panel2) both front fenders on the bottom ( behind the tires side ) look like they have been worked a little...but nothing bad at all. In my opinion.
3) I have had a lot of questions about the rear window "frameâ€. It is solid with no signs of rust.Refer to the pictures. It looks to me like the glass was installed by non professional and there is no molding for the rear glass.
4) The windshield will need to be replaced. It is cracked all the way across from about 6 inches up from the bottom. Again, the front windshield "frame" is in excellent condition with no signs of any corrosion to speak of. There are a couple of surface rust spots here and there.
The body of the car is overall excellent ( IN MY OPINION ) the trunk is solid and the floor pans are perfect ( neither of these areas need any work )
The car could be driving and in he road in a couple of days with a SBC and trans thrown in it. As mentioned before Inwas headed towards the LS swap.
Chassis:
10 bolt positraction rearManual steering boxManual brakes ( front disc )Excellent tiresThere is no shifter in the car and it was originally a column shift car.Interior:The interior is complete and decentSeats are in good shapeCarpet is OKHeadliner is OKDash is screwed down and painted black ( originally blue )Door panels are painted black as well ( originally blue )
