1972 Chevrolet El Camino SS454
Original with only a couple of modifications like MSD box & distributor, headers & stainless dual exhaust. This El Camino was purchased from a consignment dealer in Michigan in 2011 with only 14,638 miles on the odometer! I can't confirm the accuracy of this mileage, but from the condition of the car it may well be true. VIN has the 5th-digit "W" indicating the sought after 454 Big Block engine. Numbers matching engine & drivetrain features the LS5 454, TH400 automatic, 12-bolt rear axle with 3.31 gears, vinyl bench seat interior with tilting column shift. A/C blows cold, AM/FM with 8-track player (8-track inoperative), 5-spoke steel wheels & BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. The original set of 5-spoke steel wheels and polyglas tires are included with the sale, perfect for those picky car shows. The car was featured in "Collectible Automobile" Magazine, August '09 issue as part of a story of the 1968-1972 Chevrolet El Camino. Several prominent pictures of the car are included in the article, a copy of which will be included with the sale. I have a Michgan title in hand, the one that transferred from the dealership to me. In Vermont, a car this old is not required to be titled, so I never turned the title in when I registered the car. Title still shows my name on back. I'll provide buyer with this title, and a detailed Bill of Sale.
