1969 Camaro Z28 Rally Sport
Here she is guys and gals, one of the finest 1969 Z28's around! What makes her special are very numerous but I'll try to keep it within reason. First she is a Dusk Blue, Blue interior car. The numbers indicate this is a very rare color combination and both the paint and interior are like new. It is a true code X77 Z28 with the Rally Sport option added (I am stating this to be absolutely honest as I believe the RS cars to be all coded X33). Please take a look at the unmolested cowl tag to confirm these statements.
I bought this car about 5 years ago from a friend who specializes in first generation Camaro's. He had taken about 3 years building the car as he was fully intending to keep it for himself. This forced him to work on the car as time permitted while doing restorations for other clients. To say it plainly...he built this car using only the best parts and not rushing a thing, fully intending to make this his garage queen. His attention to detail is demonstrated in every aspect of this car. Nothing was left untouched and the car reflects this.
Drivetrain
The original, numbers matching (VIN by oil filter), DZ 302 was completely rebuilt and finished out with all original parts. This is true down to the GM exhaust manifolds and smog system. The battery is a modern battery with a topper. The transmission is a correct close-ratio, M-21, but it not original to the car. It does interestingly have a relatively close VIN on it. The rear axle is a BR coded 12 bolt, all finished out correctly.
Interior
The interior has been all redone as original. There is nothing that is not correct right down to the chrome shifter knob, correct for console cars. The interior is absolutely beautiful in its medium blue and real perfect compliment to the exterior.
Exterior
The stripes were laid out perfectly and the base/clear finish is stunning. All exterior pieces were replaced or polished and are in perfect condition. The tires only have a couple of hundred miles on them and are correct for the car. I'd rate the paint a strong 9 out of 10.
ETC.
I've been doing the EBAY thing for a very long time and I've seen many honest sellers' auctions ruined by unscrupulous bidding. If you have a bad history or feedback under 20, your bids will not be accepted unless you contact me in advance. It is my hope that a true enthusiast bids on the car and enjoys it for many years to come! For me, I just don't drive it enough to warrant a car this nice. Bid with confidence...you will NOT be disappointed! Thank you for bidding! I won't pay for shipping, but will help you get it picked up. One last thing, my reserve is 10K less than the appraised value.
