Car description

Okay all you muscle truck fans have I got the ride for you. We all crave the style and sound of a Bowtie shortbox from back in the day when muscle was the name and hustle was the game. What looks better parked next to the 67 Camaro and the 67 Chevelle. at the car show. than a 67 Fleetside sport truck from the same by gone era. Here is your chance to fulfill those dreams and own a piece of history that will thrill your senses and appreciate in value all at the same time. Sounds like a recipe for years of fun to me. I have owned this sweet ride for a while now and loved every minute of it. I wish I knew the full history of the truck but I do know some. It has been in Boise Idaho for at least the last 20 years and for all I know it may have been here since its first day of ownership. I talked to a mechanic. when I had some exhaust work done. who knew a former owner and spoke to the quality of the truck at that time. It is in rust free. restored. very nice condition. It drives sweet and looks just the same. Everywhere I go I get gawkers and thumbs up. I hate to let her go but that’s what happens when you have more cars than garage stalls. something has to go. Here is what I know: Exterior The paint is smooth and glossy and was probably painted a few years back but a high quality job was done and other than a few chips (professionally touched up) it looks as good as if it were painted last month. The body is rust free (including rocker panels) and the few times I’ve had it in the air it looks to be completely rust free underneath too. All the panels are strait and true and really show off the pearl finish in the sun. All the chrome is near perfect as is the glass. The windshield is new as are all the door seals and windlace and back glass rubber etc. Windows work like new as do tailgate and doors. Speaking of the tailgate it has had the handle moved to the inside of the bed and the tailgate has been smoothed. Drip rails are flawless and the LED tail lights enhance the whole package. All lights work perfect and new clear marker lenses have been used up front. The bed is in great shape and has been protected for years with diamond plate. Interior The inside of this little gem is like new. The door panels are custom and flawless with speakers hidden behind the center panels and Kick panels to match. The billet inner door handles look awesome and perform well too. The carpet is like new as is the dash. The custom leather power seats (functioning) and center console look at home in the cab and ride comfortably. All the lights and gauges work well. The truck has never been smoked in or at least appears that way due to a squeaky clean ash tray. The visors are like new and work great also. The sill plates are brand new as are the door frame rubbers. The Sony CD player sounds great although I never use it because the truck sounds blissful sliding though the gears. The Air ride controls and gauges work well and are easy to use. Engine and Drivetrain Here is where our old girl gets most of her updates. The guy I bought the truck had just finished spending a mint in this department. Everything begins up front with a the 405 HP GM crate engine that winds up and screams like a furious wildcat and looks like a jewelry store with loads of chrome and billet. It is a 383 ci (Stroked 350) powerplant that has a serpentine belt system with working AC compressor ready to go for a new Vintage air system. Should be very easy to install if you get the itch. The power flows through a built 700r4 that works like a new one should. Power then flow through a brand new balanced drive line and spins to the 20 inch Vision wheels though a fresh Ford 9 inch differential. The combination of gear ratio and the 4 forward gears makes it a very streetable ride with plenty of low grunt for hole shots. Mechanical music pours through the ceramic coated headers and aluminized exhaust exiting through the Flowmaster mufflers for the perfect tune. The look is set off by a pair of dual wall stainless steel 3 by 4 inch oval tips. The front end is completely new as is the rear. The front has new CPP drop spindles and new Disc brakes that stop strait and on a dime. The air ride system works well. looks amazing and rides like a Cadillac. If you have never had a vehicle with it I recommend it. There is a 5 gallon polished tank and full gauges to keep everything in check. There are no let downs with this truck especially in the mechanical department. Summary So there you have it. she is a lot of truck and though she is no trailer queen she will win many trophy’s if you cruise her out to a show or two. As I said there is enough power to get you in trouble if that’s what your looking for. On the other hand if you just want to cruise it will feel at home on the freeway and even not kill you at the gas pump. It always runs cool with the large electric fan and starts every time with one bump of the key. If you want to build one like this yourself get out your checkbook and be prepared to drop 50K to copy what you see before you.
