1979 CHEVROLET CAMARO RS

I've got a really cool car for all you second gen F-body fans. I normally keep my eye out for Z-28's and Trans Am's but this Rally Sport with it's factory two tone paint scheme really got my attention. The car was owned and built by a 30 year veteran mechanic at a local Chevrolet dealership so all of the mechanicals have been done right. To start with this car is very straight and solid. The floors, trunk and all of the usual problem areas look to be very solid. The body is very straight with the exception of a couple of parking lot dings and the paint appears to be largely original with some minor touch-ups here and there. The interior is original and in beautiful condition! The drivetrain in this car is very impressive and runs real strong. The motor is a mid 90's Vortec 350 with a mild cam, headers, aluminum intake and 4 barrel carb. The motor sounds great with a mild lope from the cam. The transmission is a built 700R4 with a lock-up converter and mild shift kit. The transmission with it's overdrive linked to a 10 bolt posi rear end and 2:73 gear allow this car to get about 21 miles per gallon on the interstate. The front suspension has urethane bushings and the brakes have been done. The a/c system has been updated with a rotary style compressor and 134 refrigerant and blows ice cold. This car is a very comfortable and reliable daily driver and can be driven anywhere with confidence. Please ask questions, come look at or have the car inspected before bidding.
