Car description |
---|
This car came from the factory with bucket seats, a Muncie 4 speed transmission and air conditioning. There were few Impalas built like this one. The factory 327 engine has been replaced with a powerful Chevy 454, complete with a 4 v. carb.
It has a black vinyl top, black vinyl interior, beautiful new white paint with a custom black metallic stripe. It has power front disk brakes and rear drums. Since the engine was upgraded to the 454, Big Block, it also sports "Yenko" badging on the trunklid. As you may remember Yenko was a Chevrolet Dealership, located in Canonsburg, Pa. They were known for customizing Chevrolets, making them a higher performance vehicle. Today, "Yenko" Chevrolets are among the most highly sought vehicles on the market.
This beautiful example of a high performance full sized Chevy is in great, rust free condition. The body is laser straight with new white paint. The interior is in great rip free condition as is the shiny vinyl top. All trim pieces are there and in great condition. The wheels and tires are new.
This car, as documented was built in Tarrytown, N.Y. during the 4th week of November of 1968. It came with beautiful Frost Lime paint, black bucket seat interior and a black vinyl top. This is a fine example of full sized muscle. She still has her original Muncie transmission as well as the strong, 12 bolt rear differential.
This car as documented by Chevrolet with the 327, performed the ¼ mile in 18.9 seconds and went from 0 - 60 in 11.7 seconds. With the new, more powerful 454, those numbers will pale in comparison.
This full sized Chevy was 215.9 inches long, 79.8 inches wide and 54.8 inches tall, with a wheelbase of 119 inches from the factory. This wheelbase gives her a nice, comfortable ride. The massive trunk has an 18.1 cubic foot capacity and the curb weight is estimated at 3907 pounds.
This is the one that you do not want to miss. Take a look at this restored beautiful piece of automotive history.
