Car description |

This Chevrolet Caprice Classic has the 350 V8 engine, not the 305 V8 found in so many others. Definitely a power difference, there is no comparison.
I bought this wagon new in Phoenix, most of its life has been in Arizona, in Washington State past few years but not used much.No kids so interior light use.Headliner sagging, needs replacement. Some rust left front post area, due to upper door gasket seal leak. Otherwise posts and sills/rockers no rust rot. Some hesitation starting and fast idle, needs likely carb work, but runs well otherwise, good on freeway.New adjustable rear air shocks.
Note that the upholstery is rugged naugahyde vinyl type, only the driver's front seat back needs to be re-done, the other seats are in excellent condition. Remember that wagons with cloth/velour type upholstery of this age show wear, and a full re-upholstery job on those can easily be $5k. With no extra seat in the trunk well, rear rides higher, less weight, better performance, especially coupled with the 350 V8 instead of the 305!
Also, the odometer miles are REAL and reasonable for a 40 year old car. The mileage reported on many older cars of less than 100k usually reflects the odometer has turned over a couple of hundred thousand miles.
A rare classic, one owner, you just can't find these anymore. 1977 was the first year of the new body style. Already gets comments when I drive it, and it is still just with its original paint job! I am selling because I have five cars and have to cut back to three.
This would make a great car for your weekend ranch or coastal cabin, or just to take the kids to soccer practice. Definitely has more panache and retro-cred than a minivan!
