The Corvair Monza features a matching-numbers drivetrain with matching-numbers 164ci 6-cylinder engine and 2-speed Powerglide transmission all with 54,000 original miles. Work includes a complete inspection of the car and a complete nut-and-bolt restoration. The engine and transmission have been completely resealed, and the engine compartment has been freshly painted and renewed. The interior is a blend of factory original and new: The front seats have been given new seat foam, the rear seats have been re-covered, the package-area cardboard has been replaced, and the floorboards have been treated with Dynamat and recarpeted. The headliner, dash components (excluding radio), door and quarter-panel cards, and front seat covers are factory original. The front boot has been stripped, sealed and refinished. The body was sealed with PPG DP Epoxy primer and painted with DBC General Motors Victory Red base coat and PPG 2002 clear. All the original trim has been straightened and polished. Custom modifications include a lowered stance with staggered rims and tires, front Camaro chin spoiler, custom dual exhaust, custom sound system featuring stock-looking radio, Italian air horns and a LeMans-style racing fuel cap. With less than 100 miles after restoration, every component is in great working order.
