I rescued this 61 from the previous owner of 19 years. It has a 383/500hp, 4 speed. It has a lot of bling on the engine. Two edelbrock carburetors on a chrome manifold. Stainless exhaust was added when the new engine was installed. The engine and components only have about 100 miles on them. That's all the PO drove the car during his 19 year ownership. The original color was Jewel Blue but it was repainted more of a Frost Blue from 1959. It was painted before he bought it in 1998. It has numerous chips and scratches that have been touched up but the car looks great from 10ft away. I just finished installing ALL new interior, from the dash pad to carpet, door panels, seats, seat belts, door sills, steering wheel, etc. The package tray still needs to be installed and I have ALL new body weather stripping in the package. All glass in good shape. It will need a new top. The old top is shrunk and has a tear on the drivers side but the frame and weather stripping are nice. The gas tank was boiled out and lined. PO installed new tie rod ends so the front end will need a new alignment. The radio does make sound but not picking up stations and the clock is not hooked up. Wiper motor is not hooked up. There's no jack but tools are in the trunk and a spare. I installed new tail lights and front parking lamps. The chrome parts on the car are pretty decent. Not much pitting on the windshield frame or door post. The cars frame is not damaged or all rusted up like a lot of old early Corvettes. It was a soft top only car. Never had a hard top. The cowl vent has been filled. Yes, I know there are things on the car that are not correct for a 61 but its a driver, not an NCRS car. I'm selling it on a no reserve but to U.S. only. I'm open to offers. A 48hr $1000 deposit to hold car. Balance due in 10 days. No international shipping. I reserve the right to end the auction early, as it's advertised locally. inspections welcome. Sold as is, no warranty implied.
