Re-listing due to non-paying buyer. This is a rare opportunity for someone who is looking to restore an un-molested, (2) owner 2 door post Belair. Car is an original black exterior, silver interior. It has the original 283 V-8 numbers matching motor with the original 2-speed automatic powerglide. Rear end is also original to the car. Car has factory power steering, power brakes (still has original GM master cylinder and brake booster), new dual exhaust, factory AM wunderbar radio, and deluxe interior. It has 94K original miles and has never been taken apart except for general repairs. The original owner owned this car until 2001. Then she sold it to her grandsons best friend when he turned 16. He owned it for 15 years and never put a single mile on it ( it still has the 10 day inspection sticker onthe windshieldfrom 2001when he registered it). Him and his father (my friends) just went to car shows buying pieces and parts dreaming of the day they would start restoring it. Life goes on and the son gets married, has kids, and needs money for windows in his house. I heard he was putting the car up for sale and I bought it hoping to save it for myself, and so that it wouldn't get chopped up into a resto-mod or a rat rod. This car is just to original and in my opinion, should be restored to stock. I am now coming to the reality that I will not get to this anytime soon, so I want topass it along to someone who will give her the attention she needs. All the glass is good, all the trim is there and in very good shape, All the windows operate as they should. The engine was running when parked, but when the last owner put in a new distributor and wires, he put it in wrong and I just haven't had the time to work on it. Be assured, it is a running motor. It is not blown up or ruined. The master cylinder needs to be rebuilt, and I also have an additional original GM booster and cylinder with the car. There are also many new parts and pieces that will go with the car along with the original bill of sale and invoice. The floors are solid, the cowl and fender wells are solid, the trunk floor is solid with some rust at the rear of the trunk lip, the door jambs are solid and the doors close with ease, the rear window and front window pillars are solid, as is the rear window deck. The lower back of the front fenders have rust but can be patched, and as you will see in the pictures, there is rust in therockers and fronts of the rear quarter panels. This rust does not extend too deep into the interior rockers or into the rear wheel wells. The two quarter panels are slightly pushed in, but besides for the lower front sections, are surprisingly rust free. All thechrome is original, but will need to be refinished. I have the original hubcaps which are in very good condition. If you are looking for an original'57 Belair to restore back to its original glory, this may be the car for you.
