Car description |
---|
Titled as actual original miles, this C-10 pickup shows 23,xxx miles on the odometer and retains its original 327 engine, listed as an L-30 on the glovebox option plate. The truck has a GM 700R automatic transmission (professionally rebuilt in 2014) and the column shift is a period-correct tilt column. Power steering and power brakes with front discs and rear drums. The glovebox retains the 1967 Owner's Manual and Protect-O-Plate with pamphlet. There is no rust on this truck, and the cab corners are solid. The bed is fully painted to outside panel standard, with just a few scratches from loading/unloading. There is one very small chip near the rear taillight that didn't show up in the photos. In addition to an Edlebrock Performer Carburetor, the truck also has a modern electronic distributor and the exhaust runs through headers and 2.5" tailpipes with Magnaflow mufflers, all stainless steel. I drove a lot of 1967-72 Chevy V-8 trucks before buying this one in 2014, and this one feels quite strong. This truck starts, drives, stops and idles very well, and runs down the road without issues even on 90 degree summer days. I bought the spare tire and attachment in 2015. In my ownership, it has hauled the occasional hay bale for the chicken coop (hence a little straw in the photos) or supplies from Home Depot. No towing or heavy loads. Early on, I bought the bed and tailgate rubber mats to protect truck bed paint when I did haul something in the bed (they are not attached to the truck itself, so no marks). The bed cover is a padded clamp-on system, so is easily removed without a trace that it was installed. In my ownership, I rebuilt the rear brakes (new wheel cylinders and shoes) and flushed the brake lines, as well as completed 2 oil/filter changes, new spark plugs, new hoses, new belt and new coolant. I also replaced a leaky mechanical oil gauge pipe and replaced the rear axle cover and changed the rear axle gear oil to cure a leak. All the fluids are fresh and all maintenance is up-to-date. A compression test showed all cylinders within 5 PSI of 155. Truck has been stored in a heated garage, and not driven in the rain. Everything works on the truck, including the original AM radio. Thenon-originalsteering wheel itself is not quite straight, itdoes showa slight oil drip on the passenger side header and the shifter rattles slightly at idle in park, but not when in gear. I've driven the truck about 500 miles this summer with no issues. $2,000 deposit and full payment in 7 days and pick up the truck in 3 weeks. Payment via wire transfer or bank check or cash. Please feel free to ask any questions.
