Car description |

This is a classic 1971 Chevy Short Wide Bed built to look period correct but drive like it just came off the dealers floor in 2017. All upgrades were tasteful as to not disturb the period correct look badly, but provide all the modern driving conveniences and reliability we expect from our modern cars. That being said, this isn't some backyard mechanic and his friend slapping some parts together on a short bed truck and selling it, this was all done professionally and right, cost was far down the list, performance and asthetics were first. The build started over 2 years ago with a nice rust free short wide bed, it was taken down to frame, but not a full on show car underneath was done, the frame was cleaned up and painted, same with rear, all parts replaced though with new, a $10,000 paint and body job. The only flaw thats worth noting is the doors lined up perfectly until we installed new weatherstripping and I guess thats common in the c10's, its brand new and causes the doors to be slammed to shut, but they say this gets better as the rubber softens, but wanted to mention it. Body was completely gone through, rust free, nothing shaved off, bed inside wasn't overly finished, its sprayed with bedliner and can be used still. Paint is 2015 Corvette Fusion Grey Metallic and looks amazing!! Hood is a 2" Cowl Induction all steel hood to give a slight performance look. Old headlights replaced with top of the line Period Correct LED's, so these look perfectly stock, but at night you have modern headlight quality. Moving interior it was all redone with painted dash and white Dolphin Gauges that all work perfectly, $2000 modern sounds system for quality sound and bass, not overdone! Vintage Air heat and A/C works amazing and also blows out the vents, not just the floors or defrost like on a lot of models, this one actually keeps you warm in the cold and more importantly blows cold out the vents to keep you cool even on 100 degree days just like a modern car! Seats and door panels both redone in period correct look and windows roll up and down with ease. Very nice black billet steering wheel with working horn as well. Yes the fuel gauge works as the tank has been moved bank under the bed, this is a big thing overlooked by most builders, but who wants to have a high dollar classic truck and have to guess on your fuel level. Now to Drivetrain......Period correct look with a small block Chevy, but this is no period engine, it was built to have power ANYTIME you need it, while being able to cruise, not vibrate,be able to run A/C and power brakes, and get good fuel mileage. So it starts as a 4 bolt main 355 chevy, filled with forged and arp parts and fully balanced. Then Tony Mamo of Mamo motorsports and Chief Engineer of AFR cylinder heads....google him, designed the full roller engine. Starting with a full billet roller cam with high lift, .565, but low duration, 217/219, Johnson link full roller bar link liter, roller rockers, AFR 180 Cylinder heads, angle milled to 56cc and ported for maximum velocity matched to performed rpm intake that's port matched for flow as well, ceramic coated headers to full stainless exhaust that exits out of the side of the bed through late model corvette tips....looks and sounds amazing. Sitting on top of the manifold is a Fittech 600hp fuel injection system with cab mounted fuel surge tank, this is self tuning, but can be custom tuned as well, provides instant starting in any weather, unreal throttle response and great fuel economy. This motor has no vibration, unreal power off the line and all the way through the rpm range, zero surges anywhere, just like a modern corvette engine, its cruises around town at 1200 rpm, but break into the throttle and it jumps anywhere you want it and pulls hard, but not a delay and lots of noise and then all top end like most cheap builds, this was built to run like a modern built LS engine and id say it does better than that, you can literally feel the flow of the engine, it breathes fast and well all the time, super efficient design and you can sit at the stoplight with the air on and idle at 800 rpm and drink a coffee and have a great rumble but zero vibration, surging, bucking, spitting, nothing! To dress it up is a full billet 8 rip serpentine system like in a modern car...no squeeking belts here, all parts are done in aluminum, both the intake and the headers are edurashine coated for long lasting shine, this motor was $10,000 plus in just parts. The transmission is a rebuilt 700R4 with corvette internals and Standard lockup convertor, this truck makes power all the time....no need for a high stall. It cruises down the road at about 1300 rpm at 70 and 1700 at 80 and drives strait as an arrow and as comfortably as possible and returns about 20mpg with the 3.23 rear end gears. The truck has all new brakes, Wildwood master cylinder and then Big 4 wheel disc brakes all around with drilled and slotted rotors, the look amazing, have more than enough braking power and are all modern parts, and check these parts...not cheap here. The suspension has been lowered 4" all new performance coils and shocks and also front and rear sway bars and some added traction parts in the rear. the truck handles like a modern sports car, but also can handle the bumps. However, you will get no lean in the corners like these trucks do stock, you can feel confident taking a sharp corner at 50mph, the truck handles it like a modern car would. Wheels are 20x10 rear with 315 Nittos and 20x9 front with Nittos as well, shows the brakes off well. You cant even see all the detail in the pictures so I have posted link to youtube videos as well, but trust me this is a top of thie line truck, now it wont win best of show around all the $100,000+ builds out now, but you will get compliments everywhere you go, you can be extra proud to drive it, it could easily be your daily driver for years and years to come and still hit the cruises and shows and have no problems, it was built to be a top end driver. Now this is a big boy toy, so if you have any questions as to if you have a big enough bank account to buy it....DONT BID!!! Some banks will loan on these, find out way in advance before you bid. If you have to ask your wife or mom if you can buy...DONT BID!!! This is a serious auction on a serious truck, I don't need kids or jokers wasting everyone's time, only bid if you can buy and will pay, be respectful! $500 deposit do at end of sale, you have 24 hours to make it or I will relist auction, full payment due in 36 hours.

My low reserve is already met so highest bidder wins the truck, again do not bid unless you are prepared to buy, good luck and thanks for all the calls and what happens but not looking for any trades. The winning bidder is going to get a LOT of truck for the money, way nicer than comparable trucks in this price range and the values of short wide bed trucks are only going up.
