Selling my 1958 Chevrolet Apache fleet side short bed pickup. These trucks are quite rare being that they were only made half of 1958 and 1959 and even more rare in a fleet side short bed! I purchased this truck in non running condition with the intentions to restore it. I had it inspected and titled with Arizona DMV and also insurance bonded. I currently have it registered. This truck would be perfect for a complete restoration, a resto mod or a rat rod truck build! It currently starts right up, idles, drives and stops pretty well considering it's age and that it's been sitting for unknown number of decades. I swapped on a rods rebuilt carburetor, fuel filter, cap and rotor, changed the engines valve seals and valve cover gasket, adjusted the valves, replaced the fuel pump, water pump, alternator and thermostat. The radiator does have a weep but the truck has not had any issues overheating in the aprox 60 miles I have driven it. The transmission shifts through all of it's gears and the clutch seems to hold just fine. I installed a new brake master cylinder, new wheel cylinders at all four corners and added new brake rubber hoses. I also replaced all 4 shocks, and rebuilt the front axle king pins. Tires are brand new Nexen 235-75-15 and have about 50 miles on them. Headlights, tail lights, turn signals all work! I had the door and ignition lock cylinders re keyed so I have new keys that match. Although the engine does run quite well it does smoke and will need a rebuild. Being an Arizona truck the cab is solid as seen in pics. Exterior has dents, dings, scrapes and lots of character. This truck is being sold as a PROJECT not as a turn key daily driver and no I would not recommend driving it across country after purchase. These trucks are getting harder and harder to find!!!
