For sale is a new built street rod. Started with a nice stock 1950 Chevy Coupe Deluxe. In the build an Art Morrison chassis was used with Wilwood disc brakes with a Strange 9" rear end with 3.50 gear ratio .A four link suspension is on the back with coil over shocks all the way around. The frame is powder coated and has Flowmaster mufflers with stainless exhaust. The engine is a new LS-3 with the 525 hp version from GM Performance. Behind it is a new 4L65 transmission. Computers for both the engine and transmission are new. The wheels are American Racing with 18's front and back. Tires are 245/40R18 front and 275/45R18 on the back. All chrome is fresh from Advanced Plating. Paint and body work was done by Shane Chiado at Norm's Rod Shop. On the inside you'll find leather upholstery by Steve Holcomb of Pro Auto Custom Interiors. The dash has the first custom gauge set for a '50 Chevy done by Classic Instruments. I sent my original to them and they completely updated it to work with the computers for the engine and transmission. An Alpine stereo with 4 speakers plus a subwoofer and amplifier are in the car. For comfort, there is a Vintage Air a/c installed. Car is lined with Lizard Skin on the bottom and under fenders and with Dynamat on the inside. All rust was replaced with new panels. Also new wheel tubs, to make room for the tires, in the rear and new front inner fenders were fabricated and installed. Car is fast and handles great. As I stated this is a new build. Car has only 205 miles on it at this time. The car has been shown twice. First time was at a local show. It won Best in Class, Best in Show and People's Choice. Second time was at Summit Racing where they had an LS show. It won The Summit's Pick Award. The car was also displayed as a feature ca, not judged, at the Caffeine and Octane Show at Jekyll Island where it drew lot's of attention. This car is definitely ready for the big shows, NSRA, Good Guys and etc. I just don't have time to do it. Any questions, I'll be glad to answer.
