I'm Only The Second Owner, I havehave original title and brochure owners manual which he wrote on checking fuel mileage. And the top operation, chevy owner protection plan guides That is signed buy the owner Frank Hulag of the Chevrolet.
The original 95 owner told me his story why he bought this Nova. He bought this Convertible off the showroom floor 12/24/1961 for a surprise Christmas gift for his wife. So this was her car. They did not have any kids so she was the only driver. Always garaged, She passed away in 1996. After that it was in and out of storage for quite sometime. He would fire it up a few times a year for a short drive.
Everything works, Most of the Roman Red paint is originalWhite OriginalTop In Great Condition, with new white boot the original red boot comes with the car. The Chrome in amazing condition, The grilleis in wonderful condition. The Bumpers have a few scuffs a small dent or two, The side molding trim has a lot of dings, But some are not to bad, But the rare trim is all there! The floor Pans, Doors, Trunk, Hood and Jams very solid no rust, All original Glass,There are a few small surface rust spots under convertible boot, They do not go all the way through. It comes with original hub caps only that are in some ofthe pictures.
There is no bondo anywhere that I can find checked with magnet. Most of the Roman Red paint is original. There has been light body and paint touch upwork done here and there to cover scratches and dings and small dents etc. RH fender has many touch up spots. Car could be painted someday your choice, Or enjoy it as is. The trunk is in wonderful condition I did splatter paint it. I have had therocker panels off no rust solid, but they do have ware.
Has original Jack, anda sparetire. Interior Is In Amazing Condition for it's age so very original.
The Dash Is In Wonderful Condition, Non smoker car, Glove Box almost like new inside, No dents or scratches. Working Radio !! The bezel is very nice. This car hadthe original rubber /carpet that did have cracking. I replaced it with a carpet factory kit. The front seat has been reupholstered with NOS Original Vinyl looks new. I don't think the back seat been used looks new little faded. Door panels beautiful are rest worn some. All the original weatherstripping is in Great Condition ! The only thing is the horn has a button to push, just needs to be rewired back to the steering column.
This Rare Nova has had service work done my a Master Mechanic. This is what has been done.Valves Adjusted ~ NewU Joints ~ Ball Joints ~ NOS Preach Springs ~ All New Shocks ~ Pinon Seal, Rear End Serviced ~ Fuel Pump (2010)Complete Tune Up, Points Condenser Coil Cap and Plug Weirs ~ Compression Check ~All Hose's ~Tranny Serviced~ Oil / Filter Change ~ PCV and PVC Hose, Valve cover gasket. Had a Valve job@40K in 1977.There is a muffler but the pipe from it to the end of the exhaust is gone, very easy and inexpensiveto finish off.The undercarriage is very clean with little work, and paint would look great, these are 2 things I haven't got around to. The car runs and very drives nice. It has slight valve tapping while warming up which these are known for, I have only put approx.250 miles on the car.
I HAVE ALL THE RECIPES, And some recipes from the over the years when he owned the car.
