I built this custom Apache pickup last year. I drive it daily and it gets a lot of attention.The truck has been modified with the following work : I replaced the 3/4 ton rearend with a 1987 Caprice rearend, removed leaves from rear springs for a soft ride, shortened the frame to make it a shortbed truck, replaced most of front suspension with a disc brake conversion, new drag link, tie rod ends, 1/2 ton front axle, and springs, new brakes front and rear, new brake lines, shortened driveshaft.I stripped cab and front end to bare metal, installed new doors, no rust repair, new door hinges, latches, strikers, door handles, weather stripping.Epoxy primed and Dupount Ureathane paint on interior and exterior.New tires, reholpolstered seat.Bed is a 1989 bed with new rubber bed mat installed, bed was sandblasted inside of box, primed and painted. New grille, all window rubber is new, glove box is new, replaced radio speaker.Refurbished gauge cluster and all gauges work properly.This truck has a sweet running 283 with a Edelbrock Performer intake and Edelbrock 4 barrell carb.New battery, battery tray, and cables. New radiator.Uses no oil, runs and drives very nicely, and very quiet cab.
