Beautiful 1980 Chevrolet K10 P/U Silverado Short BedNone Nicer A Truly Gorgeous Survivor of the last of the square body GM trucks that where made from 1973-1980. These are the last of the thick steel. thick glass. thick framed General Motors Trucks. It is the year that introduced rectangular headlamps as well as many other cosmetic changes that would be incorporated into the redesigned coming model year. As you can see in my pictures it still has the original seat as well as the original option sticker attached to the inside of the glove box. They changed gauge colors for the 1980 model and offered a clock. and it seems everyone wanted a clock and with a clock you couldn't get the tachometer. This is one of the few that still chose a tachometer over the clock and I'm so glad as this is a beautiful original Rare gauge cluster. the only one I've ever seen. The truck came with all the options available. A/C. power windows. power door locks. delay wiper system. dual fuel tanks. cruise control. full instrumentation. all stainless and chrome trim possible. This thing is loaded. Only option I can think of that wasn't ordered was a cargo lamp. The truck just went through a complete going through. It received a target master (GM) 350 Cu. In. engine. a turbo 350 Automatic Trans. All rubber mounts. and drivetrain seals where replaced. U-joints. axle and Driveshaft where replaced. Rubber Brake hoses as well as Calipers. Pads. Shoes and hardware where replaced. Front springs and shock absorbers (front and rear) were replaced. Ball joints upper and lower. nbsp;steering arm. and steering damper where installed. Axle vent hoses and fuel line(rubber) where replaced. As well as rubber bump stops. Power steering hoses. pressure and return where replaced. I think you get my point. that if its a wear part it was replaced just because its 35 years old. We painted everything under there black as to preserve it for the future generations to enjoy. You can eat off the underside. The body (inside and out) was stripped of its Camel Metallic Paint and redone in Spanish Gold Metallic. including the interior. It is truly a beautiful Color. I had a New windshield install and replaced rubber cab seals. I do have original rally wheels and rings painted in the same GM linen white if a person wanted to install larger tires and wheels. It has 235 75 r 15 Hankok mileage plus all season radials on it and it rides soooo nice and quiet. Truck has about a thousand miles on it since the work was done. I will add more pictures this week when I have time to run over to the truck.
