This is a Camaro Z28 prepped for endurance racing. The car was run in a single race. a 24 Hrs of LeMons race in 2014. I will certify the purchase price of the car at being $350 (the price I paid for it) plus the cost of the safety equipment (to the value of the winning bid) making it eligible for most amateur endurance racing venues. This car was very competitive in spite of rookie drivers and cooling issues that prevented running full out. To improve performance it needs an air dam and better radiator and fans. The car would also benefit from a fuel cell as the stock fuel tank washes out the fuel pump at 1/2 full in had cornering. As a result we spent a lot more time in the pits than we should have. Better performance tires would help a great deal as well. The new tires on the car were not nearly as good as the competition. In spite of these issues the car finished in the middle of the pack - a result I was happy with. The car is being sold because my co-drivers dropped out leaving me without a driver team. Now I need the garage space for other projects. This car is fully equipped with all new safety equipment including 10 point roll cage. Kirkey professional racing seat. Racequip 5 point safety harness. window net. high density roll cage padding. fire extinguisher. master electrical switch. new windshield. new tires. gauges. quick release steering wheel. removable (pinned) hood. etc. Over $3500 in safety gear alone plus a ton of labor. It is equipped with a stock L-98 motor. There are some minor dents in the body visible in the photos. The 700-r4 transmission has a slow fluid leak but both engine and transmission run fine. The car accessories that were removed to reduce weight are included in the sale if wanted and can be sold by the buyer to finance performance improvements in the vehicle as allowed by the endurance racing rules. I will facilitate shipping the car at buyers expense or you can pick it up. If you are not into road racing it would make a great drag racing car as well.
