Car description |
---|
Up for auction with no reserve is this mostly original 1941 Chevy 1/2 ton pick-up truck. This vehicle is registered, runs and drives as one would expect a truck that has been around for 76 years. The truck still has its original engine, however the head was replaced sometime in the past. Upon purchase I replaced all the wiring with original type of harnesses from Rhode Island Electric. There is a new gas tank. Guages were replaced with a restored unit.
Some body work was performed on the rear fenders to remove the large dents. Otherwise, the body still sports its original paint. A new bed was installed and side rails built to improve the appearance. The running boards do have minimal rust, but are very solid.
The interior bench seat and back has been replaces in the past.
The engine compartment and components are mostly original. It has a new fuel pump, coil, wiring, and plugs. The carb could use a rebuild.
This is a fun truck that draws a lot of attention. Leave it as is, or build a super looking rat rod. You will not find a nicer looking candidate. I am selling the truck for no other reason than that I don't use it often enough to keep. I bought the vehicle 4 years ago and have logged 76 miles.
Buyer is responsible for shipping cost and all arrangements. A Paypal deposit of $500.00 is due upon close of the auction. The balance is due prior to pick-up by wire transfer or other form of payment if agreed upon beforehand.
The vehicle is located in New Jersey. I welcome your inspection, personally or by a third party. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me, Ed, at 609 529-8171.
