1993 Chevy Pro StreetLumina Z/34This car started its life as a front wheel drive mid-size sports sedan. The 50 plus thousand dollars spent on the transformation to a rear wheel drive pro street car was done about 10 years ago and driven approximately 25K miles with a different motor and transmission. The motor and transmission in the car now has less than 100 miles on it.The chassis: A 1988 Monte Carlo SS chassis was completely sandblasted and painted. All new front suspension was then installed. The rear end is a narrowed ford 9 inch unit with4:11gears and a custom 4-link coil over suspension. (Approximately 25k Miles)The engine: The engine is a 408 Cubic inch small block Chevy built with a forged steel crank shaft, H-beam rods, hypereutectic (9.75 to one compression) pistons,Aluminum heads, a custom grind Hydraulic flat tappet camshaft, roller rockers, Aluminumintake, Holley Carburetor, custom HPC coated headers and is cooled by a custom aluminum radiator with electric fans. Engine is estimated to make just over 500HPThe Transmission: The 700R-4 transmission was completely rebuilt with all new parts along with a shift kit. It shifts crisp and firm and the overdrive allows you to drive it at highway speeds with the engine turning about 2500 RPM.The interior: Probably its weakest area but still shows some interesting additions to what looks like a stock interior. It has a full roll cage certified to run 8.50 at the drag strip, a full digital dash with a speedometer calibrated by a GPS sensor so no matter what tires or gears you change to it will still be accurate. The power windows work as do all the lights and other accessories (BUT there is no heat or A/C)Body and paint: Outside except for a cowl hood scoop is stock in appearance down to the factory rear spoiler. The car was stripped and painted gloss black about ten years ago but inside storage has kept it in very good condition. There is a few scratches.Exhaust: The custom exhaust starts with HPC coated headers and splits via an electric cut out system under the front seats. One system goes all the way to the rear and exits through a pair of Borla Mufflers. The other system exits at the side of the car with straight open exhaust. The control switch is on the console.Miscellaneous Features: The car has a 4 speaker in dash radio and CD player with a 400 watt amp. The fuel system starts with a polished aluminum fuel cell with anti-sloshing foam, all braided steel fuel lines. The 18 inch wheels and tires are brand new and the Mini-tubbed rear can fit a much larger tire or drag slick.
