Up for auction is a 1974 Chevrolet Corvette with a little over 92,000 miles. This is a very strong running car and is very dependable. It is a really nice car as can be seen in the pictures and has been stored in the garage under cover when not driven. Car has matching numbers, original color of paint (Silver Mist - was re-painted the same original build sheet color in 2004 by the previous owner and paint still looks really nice!!), original interior (black) and no engine performance modifications. Within the last three months, the car has received the following: all new brake pads/calipers/rotors/bearings greased on all four wheels, complete transmission flush and filter/gasket change, oil change, plugs/wire/distributor cap replacement, fuel filter change, engine tune-up and radiator flush. As reflected by the starting bid price, the car does need some minor attention paid to the following cosmetic/non-drive train related items...original AM/FM radio and analog clock in the dash have stopped working (used to both work), factory AC compressor is intact but does not work, driver side window needs a new spring for operation (just found the issue when doing the work stated above), speedometer and tachometer work fine but the odometer portion has stopped "counting" miles (needs a new worm gear), headlights light up and vacuum pumps will lift them but they have to be put back down manually (I have a diagram of the actuator system but have not even tried to identify and solve the problem). None of these items are really big ticket items but I want to be clear on condition. Also worth mentioning, the car had a "flipper" rear end bumper cover put on it before the paint job in 2004 by the previous owner in place of the original two-piece fiberglass unit from the factory and is easily replaced if you do not care for it by purchasing the correct bumper cover via Eckler's Corvette online store. The cheaper plastic used for these OEM replacement parts has caused it to have a slight wave in it. I have personally owned the vehicle since 2011 (third owner) and was interested in tinkering with it and such but I have simply lost interest in the car...especially after I bought a motorcycle two years ago. Besides the fact that I would really like to have the garage space back, the car simply deserves to belong to someone who will enjoy it the way it needs to be enjoyed! The car is located in Indianapolis, IN. Car is priced to sell!!! Initial $1,000.00 deposit must be made through PayPal within 24 hours of auction end. Balance of payment will be made via preferred method agreed upon between seller and buyer within three days of auction end and may include cash/cashier's check at the time of the buyer taking possession at nearest branch of Seller's bank to confirm authenticity of either check or dollars.
