The 1980s were a tough time for performance cars smog and emissions tests combined with the increasing rate of fuel prices meant that performance had reached an all time low. The most powerful engines in muscle and sports cars could barely muster 200hp. When Chevrolet introduced the all new C4 Corvette in 1984 the company chose to emphasis handling and agility over sheer horsepower. The new design represented a clean break from the C3 generation with sleek new styling and a completely new chas...sis and suspension. With all independent suspension highlighted by a new lightweight transverse fiberglass mono-leaf spring that was significantly lighter than the older coil springs. Also new was a "uniframe" that consisted of a traditional perimeter frame with the door posts windshield and rear floor pan all integrated into a single piece. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this very clean 1992 Chevrolet Corvette. Featuring a very stunning shade of Arctic White over oxblood red interior this is a sharp and unique combination. 1992 was the first year for the new LT1 engine which was much for advanced than the older LT5. The engine produced around 300hp and displaced 5.7L or 350cid. The engine one this example starts up very well and doesn't hesitate as it pulls to redline. The engine is strong and doesn't smoke or stall. It is mated to a durable and reliable automatic transmission. The exterior is in very good condition and the fiberglass panels have even and deep paint. The stock wheels are also in good shape and don't have curb rash. The bright red interior is also nice with a crack free dash clean carpets and heavily bolstered seats that have some wear but no cracking. The car has power seats power windows power locks power mirrors a good stereo and strong air-condition. It also has the clear plastic T-top which is a very cool feature. With a powerful engine and some solid features this is a bargain performance icon. To see over 80 photos of this car including under carriage please visit our website
