Car description |

You are bidding on a 1949 Chevrolet Pickup truck. It is a Thriftmaster 3600 model with a long bed.
Body- Some body work has been done. It has new bed sides and oak bed floor with stainless steel strips. The cab has had some repair work and has been cleaned up inside with new seat cover, floor mat and paint. The fenders are all original and needed very little work. The tailgate and doors are also original. The doors may require some additional work but are not rusted thru on the outside. No door weatherstripping has not been installed. The hood and running boards are original and do require some work. Door glass is original with a small crack in one piece of glass. Windshield and back glass are new and require the lock strip to be installed. The truck is in black primer.
Frame-The frame is solid. The original lever-type shocks are still in place. The tires are new, mounted on the original 15" 8 lug lock ring wheels. Wheels are in black primer with new hub caps. There is no spare.
Engine- This is 216 engine. I believe the engine to be from a 1951. The engine starts and runs great but has some leaks. New gaskets may be needed. Antifreeze leaks from around the area where the oil tube enters and exits the engine. It has new rebuilt Rochester one barrel carburetor and new plugs and plug wires. A new gas tank has been installed. I have not done anything else to the engine.
Transmission- 4-speed on the floor.
Brakes-All new brake lines and master cylinder installed. The brake shoes appear to have some life left on them. The emergency brake needs work.
Electrical-The old wiring was completely stripped out and a new wiring harness installed. I converted everything over to 12 volt with an alternator. We replaced the vacuum wipers with electric wipers.
Shows around 50,000 miles, not sure if this is accurate.
I have tried to describe the truck to the best of my ability. It is an old truck and runs and drives like an old truck. No warranties expressed or implied. Sold as is.Thank for bidding!
