1967 Chevrolet Sportvan108 59,000 original miles! This is 59,000 miles and NOT 159,000 miles. This van was stored in a barn for 30 years. 230 cu. in. inline 6 cylinder 3 speed "three on the tree" manual transmission. Thousands of Dollars have already been put into the restoration of this Antique van. New parts: 5 new Hankook tires, new brake shoes and wheel cylinders all around, new brake lines, new shocks all around, new universal joints, new complete exhaust, new battery, new heater and radiator hoses, and a new factory AM radio speaker. I just rebuilt the original factory Carter carburetor and I tuned the engine earlier this Spring. I installed top of the line Standard Blue Streak ignition parts including new points, condenser, rotor, distributor cap, new AC spark plugs, new AC Delco spark plug wires, new Fram air filter and inline fuel filter, and a new Napa lifetime warranty fan belt. The engine runs like new and at times you can not even tell it's running. I adjusted the clutch and it is near the end of it's adjustment and it does chatter when it is cold. It works fine when it warms up and it does not slip. Still works like it should and the transmission shifts perfectly. Here is what the van needs: The rear main seal is leaking motor oil.(common for a vehicle that has sat for years) The parking brakes will not work due to non-use which caused the cable to freeze. The backup lights do not light. The side door step is missing and the linkage for the step is also missing a piece. The windshield washer does not work. As you can see the van has had most of the mechanical restoration already done and the van needs very little mechanically. There is a lot of rust along the bottom of the body as can be seen in my photos. I saw no rust on the floor under the driver or passenger side. There are a few very small rust holes in the floor near the rear of the van's floor. Please use the "Ask a Question" to learn more about this rare van. This van appears to have been very well taken care of while it was on the road and it is a passenger van so it was not used to haul anything except people. The interior of the van shows it was not used to haul. I have just spent 4 days using a product called "Color Back" to remove the oxidation from the original paint and then I went over the van a second time and waxed it. The paint now shines like new! Most people reading my ad know what the value of these flat nosed vans are. This is the harder to find long 108" wheel base and it is a Sportvan. This is a G10 van and not a G20. I was unable to list it as a G10 Half Ton. I have several more pictures of the van and I can send them to an e-mail address upon request. I do have the factory original mirrors!
