Car description |

1968 Chevy C20 Custom Camper truck.
Highly optioned 50th anniversary truck with special ordered black interior.
This original California 3/4 ton is a factory big block truck loaded with ps, pb, and ac. I bought this truck 3 years ago from the second owner who bought it in the mid 70's and used it to pull his RV around northern California. Nice, straight body that was repainted in 79-80. They painted it a champagne color rather than the factory gold. Interior of cab is still the original gold color.
Previous owner also installed the old school '64 Chevelle steering wheel, chrome valve covers, air cleaner, and 396 crossed flag emblems on fender.
The original 396 is long gone, and has been replaced with a good running 454 that has an RV cam...no smoke or noises, but like all old big blocks, it marks its territory with a small oil drop now and then. The old radiator had some bad spots, so I replaced it with a new Entropy aluminum one with dual electric fans and controller. To clean up the underhood wiring that had been "modified" over the years, I installed brand new American Autowire engine harness and front light harness. Also added all new Allen Grove engine brackets and pulleys, new waterpump, new alternator, new power steering pump, a Sanden A/C compressor (need to make hoses and charge system), and new belts and hoses. There's a Holley 700 Street Avenger sitting on top of an Edelbrock Performer 2.0 intake.
The Turbo 400 shifts good and firm.
Interior is real nice as it was redone sometime in the 90's and still shows well.
The paint and body are starting to show their age with a few rust spots showing up, but nothing serious. Truck runs and drives well and turns heads wherever it goes...be ready to talk to chevy lovers every time you stop somewhere.
Clear title in my name.
