If your goal is to build a world-class custom the second-generation Corvette is a great place to start. This Sting Ray's professional build performed by Torrelli Pro Cars Inc. of Lockport New York took the aggressive angles of a 1964 coupe and stretched them into an acute jaw-dropper that commands major respect. "Stretched?" you ask. Yes during its ground-up restoration the car was stretched seven inches up front and five inches out back. Naturally that newly proportioned body was stripped bare... and coated in deep PPG black pigment. And that skin glossy 2-stage that shows well from all angles is accented by subtle modifications that are both tasteful and timeless. Under the custom hood 632 cubic inches of Dart Big M V8 utilizes a Hampton 14-71 blower and two stages of Nitrous Express nitrous to create a staggering 1200 horsepower. Behind that mill a Lenco ST1200 4-speed wraps a Lakewood blowproof bellhousing around a hydraulic throw out bearing and a tough McLeod clutch. That transmission twists an aluminum Mark Williams third member which hides 3.50 gears in a custom Torrelli housing. That powder-coated third member pushes a custom 4-link that's finished with Aldan coil-overs. That ceramic-coated rear-half is led by a Heidts Superide front-clip which sandwiches Chassisworks rack-and-pinion steering between two more Aldan coil-overs. Stops are provided by 4-piston Wilwood Dynalites. At the corners 15x6 and 15x15 Budnik LZ5s spin 26x7.50 Mickey Thompson Sportsmans in front of 33x19.50 Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pros. Everything rolls in a powder-coated 4130 chromoly tube chassis that was custom-fabricated by Torrelli Pro Cars Inc. And between the doors a plush leather interior is much more substantial than the 'bare bones' furnishings of average drag strip skippers. From its slick aesthetics to its trick mechanicals this spectacular Corvette packs BIG performance in a legendary wrapper. Call click or visit for more information.
