1950 Chevrolet Custom Cab Pickup with A/C. NO RUST!!! This truck is so cool! I bought it about 5 years ago with the intent of a full ground up resto. I ended up moving so it became a "use it " truck. Lots of loads to Home Depot etc. It is very drivable. The Engine is a 1958 235, (this block is drilled I was told for either solid or hydraulic lifters)with a 1956 very desirable"848" head.It has an open driveline tall gear rear-end, so it cruises down the Freeway at 70 mph and only turns about 2,500 on the Tach.It also has a workingvacuum gage. The speedometer has also been calibrated and is accurate. All the gauges work, temp, oil pressure, alternator and fuel. It has the Chevy 420 Granny low 4 speed with a Custom Hurst Shifter and 8 ball that I added. First gear is still so low that you don't use it. I added an all aluminum original style radiator, street rod type overflow tank. It has Wayne valve covers and side lifter cover, Bee Hive Oil filter, Alternator, Glass bowl fuel filter and fuel pump,Fenton duel exhaust that sounds greatand Fenton Dual intake with Harley SS air Cleaners! It also has an Modern Billet no points Distributor. It Has modern Air Conditioning (check out the pics, you can see the under-dash unit and the modern compressor) that gets ICE COLD, even here in the Sacramento Valley when it's 100+ degrees. The Truck has high quality Firestone Wide White walls, not the cheaper Cokers. The Firestones are way better! (And they cost more) It has a really cool Visor, and Lots of really nice chrome, in great condition. The alternator and A/C brackets are from Patricks' in Arizona. They are a company that specializes in 6 cylinder parts. The glass in all in perfect condition except the driver door flat glass that just cracked. The bed wood is in really good shape, it just looks old. If you look at the underside pics you can see it is pretty new. This truck is solid!. Only surface rust, NO cancer. I bought it mainly because it is sosolid. I can do all body and paint, but I can't weld, so I never buy anything that needsrust repair. What also goes with the truck is a brand new complete front to rear wiring harness,(set up for alternator), electric windshield wiper kit, chrome timing chain cover, leaf spring Teflon between the springs kit (makes the truck ride smoother, ( I have done it before on a 57 truck I had ). and some new leaf spring hangers. The truck also has a front sway bar. This truck is the best "Old School " style driver you will ever find! It is totally dependable! The only reason for selling after saying I never would is I have acquired a "57 Nomad that is going to take all my time and all my money, and then some. Clean CA Title in my name.
