Car description |
---|
Here are the vitals: SUPER RARE 1966 Chevrolet Caprice Custom Coupe, 28xxx (thought to be) original miles, tuxedo black, fawn strato bucket seats, 396ci, 325hp, console automatic T400, gauge package, power steering/brakes/windows, Comfortron system, Stereo Multiplex with (working) controls on the console, factory cruise control, factory remote trunk release (in the glove box), retractor seat belts, 12 bolt posi rear end.
I have added: new Holley spread bore carburator (I have original QJet), new custom front springs to lower the front end slightly (I have original front springs), new Flowmaster American Muscle full exhaust system.
I put brand newYearone.com17" Rally replicas with Potenza tires on the car (see pics). I intend to sell the car with the original steel wheels and spinner hubcaps. I could be talked into selling the Rally's.
The sealed A/C system appears to work when we jump it, but the Comfortron controls do not work.
I do not have the under hood control arm for the cruise control. There are a couple guys out here that either have one or can get/make one. I have had a few mechanics look at the cruise control and tell me it is not a problem to get it working when I get the arm. Other than the arm, it's all there. I actually made a very real looking arm for show...it passed.
The paint has been professionally refreshed/detailed. I took second place in a USSCA/Summit Racing event in Columbus for "Restored" Category, and the car has never been restored as far as I can tell.
It has the one repaint in tuxedo black. Interior looks untouched.
Underside is cleaner than the top. It absolutely looks new. This car is a great running/handling/stopping/cruising beast. It has won many awards in it's short stay with me.
It needs a COLLECTOR who will appreciate and can work on all thee high end options. It is simply above my pay grade. I will be looking for a much simpler 4-speed full size GM 60's Coupe.
Have at it. I want to sell it, and want fair money. This group would know what that is...
Not everyone's car...way rare, way high end for this car. Certainly one of the rarest and most high end out there....maybe THE one for sale.
I have included pics both with the original wheels/hubcaps and the new wheels.
I have a professional appraisal by one of the most respected appraisers in Ohio. I will send upon serious request.
