If you've been looking for a really well built Pro Touring Camaro- THIS IS YOUR CHANCE!
This is a tremendous 1969 Camaro- believed to be an original RS/SS. A lifelong California car. Owned by the previous owner for 40 years with photos to back it up! I have a GIANT scrapbook filled with photos and tens of thousands of dollars of receipts!
This car started out as a maroon RS/SS with black interior and a vinyl roof with a 350. It was owned by a real Camaro fanatic in San Diego California. He drove it to work every day and did the occasional drag race. About ten years ago he had saved up enough money to make his "Ultimate Pro Touring" Camaro.
The car was disassembled and the original rust free metal made straight and shot with Daytona yellow. The interior was redone with gorgeous Houndstooth interior, a good stereo was installed, and Air Ride E2 system with Strongarms front and rear, Vintage heat and air, a brand new Chevrolet 502 Ramjet with electronic fuel injection matched to a Tremec Magnum 6 speed manual transmission.
The finished car was so famous locally that the folks at Cragar asked to use it as their "Poster Car' for the 2008 calendar and magazine ads. The car was used in several photo shoots and currently sports THOSE EXACT Cragar wheels, made in USA, installed by Cragar. I've included a copy of the poster.
The Ridetech E2 Air Ride system uses all the high end parts- Strongarm control arms front and rear- brand new air shocks last year. The electronic controller is in the center console and can drop the car to the pavement or jack it up high. Set to a nice rake the car looks mean and handles like a Porsche!
I have owned the car for 5 years and in that time I have upgraded and charged the A/C system, upgraded the stereo system, replaced all four Air ride shocks and installed a nicer looking correct houndstooth interior. I had the original exhaust replaced by a custom crossover system made by my local guy- and he really tamed the sound of this car- It is incredible. Between the original owner and myself we must have $100K into this car!
If you want a Camaro that EVERYONE looks at, that blows off the competition, and still settles into a throaty burble at 75 MPH on the highway, tunes cranking and A/C blowing cold- THIS is for you! PLEASE ask me your detailed questions- and I wil get you as accurate an answer as I can and shoot ANY new photos you want. If you're local to the Metrowest Boston area come on by and check her out!
My goal lately was to keep this forever- then I figured I'd run it through Barret Jackson and get $75-$80K for it. But unfortunately my storage situation has changed and I need to sell this car and a few others before the end of the year. 've set the reserve to SELL!
