Car description

I'm selling my Medium Olive 1972 CST 4x4. factory BLACK top - super rare combo. Matching numbers 350cid engine. 4-speed manual. NP205 case. Power Steering. Power Brakes. Factory AC (not hooked up) excellent driver. ready for regular use. It is a turnkey. registered. clean CA titled vehicle. More photos of build on flickr. insert: frasertravels/sets/72157650045883259/ (eBay will not let me put in the link) I have already done major upgrades. body work and mechanical. over $20K invested so far. with documents. It drives perfect on the street. no steering stabilizer. The running gear/4x4 functions great. so you can also take it off road if you so choose. The body has been media blasted and in black EPOXY primer - (not lacquer based/non-epoxy primers that can take in moisture) and the entire tub/interior is Linex'ed and waterproof! Please read some of the details below and call for other details and appointment to see it and drive it. It starts up. runs. drives. and stops really well. Tires are new. all lights etc. are working. super comfortable custom mounted Scion Bucket Seats. full cage up front. Very nice to drive. Details: MECHANICAL: Engine: 350cid Original/numbers engine: . 030 stock rebuild couple years ago. stock cam & comp. Transmission: 4-speed Manual - original SM465; Granny low gear Transfer Case: Stock NP205 I have not replaced the clutch -- it works. but is the weak link in the current setup. NEW Yokahama Geolander ATs 33" NEW 2. 5" Lift softride springs NEW Fuel Tank and soft lines (hard lines were flushed. they are fine) NEW Alternator and all forward wiring (larger gauge wire to handle more amps) soldered connections NEW w 4-core oversize big-block radiator NEW overflow Stock Q-jet 4-barrel carb -- works quite well Rebuilt power steering pump New/Rebuilt Power Steering gear/stock turning ratio NEW FRONT AXLE assembly. Yes. whole new everything: Housing. internals. ball joints. 3:07 gears. brakes etc. NOT a rebuilt axle. a new military surplus later model Blazer axle from GM in Michigan - not Mexico. It works so well it doesn't need a stabilizer! NEW Steering link (Box to Steering arm) NEW ¾ Ton upgraded Rear Brakes Rear end/12 bolt was gone through. has TrueTrac locker & 3:07 gears NEW front drive shaft NEW u-joints/rear drive shaft NEW Brake Master. flushed system. stops on a dime NEW Master kill/battery switch. all soldered connections to Optima Race Battery NEW Door Hinges New cage NEW center caps on rally wheels ( I have EXTRA wheel for the spare) Spare tire/fuel can carry swing out. Front & Rear bumpers are crap. I'd throw them away but they work for now. Front grille is also crap. but functional I have NEW set of door seals/top bottom for after you paint it. NEW Rancho 9000's adjustable shocks (matching stabilizer if you want to install it too) NEW polyurethane spring bushings F/R NEW polyurethane Body mounts. shimmed and good. BODY: (when I bought it) Stock. desert/IE truck with very little surface rust on undercarriage (still there so you can see how clean this body is). Looks like it had 1- additional paint job in the past. double wall hardtop. back hatch was cracked up as they all are. Have glove box tag intact. interior paint is STILL original! All floors repaired (with steel not filler!) door channels welded in (so water does not collect. it flows out) Media Blasted. epoxy primed. seam sealed w/3M seam sealer. then full coverage with Raptor Bed-liner. Tub is Totally waterproof and ready for topless fun in any weather condition. Outside: Doors: Media blasted inside out. seam sealed lower pinch. epoxy inside out. inside of doors shot with Raptor as well! Door window edges/quarters painted Medium olive/with clear. all new felts rubber etc. Ready for final paint. If not. they're completely waterproof so it doesn't matter. They drain perfect. not standing water since pinch/lower door is sealed up. Tailgate. windshield cowl: Media Blasted. epoxy coated. Quarter panels. fenders. & hood: - have not been sanded down to bare metal - they're just sealed with epoxy for now. The metal on those areas is typically too large to media blast without chance of warping. so those parts are not blasted but are easy to sand bare (see pics of driver's side quarter). Hardtop: Haven't touched it. Works fine but I was going to restore it back to perfect one day. Rear Hatch/upper Lift gate: Re-built with epoxy resin. prepped (epoxy primer) and ready. New rear/gate/lift window seal is installed. All internals there. gone through. I also re-built the upper hinges since you can't get them repro. Yes the upper Hatch hinges not have NO PLAY. Check other trucks. they all have play. More hours into the subtle body/tub upgrades than I want to count. All the small dings/dents and imperfections are there to see. nothing to hide - but its straight for a 43yr old. so just prime+block+paint. Body parts are not gapped perfect since I was going to take it all apart and paint it. then gap it when it went back together. Frame and running gear totally solid. More I can't remember I have built SEMA cars/trucks and many other race. street. and show cars - so I do solid work - come see my other cars. I don't have time and/or room to keep going on this Blazer so I hope it finds a new home. It's a blast to drive. full top convertible for summer too.
