Up for Auction is my prized 1954 Chevrolet Extended Cab 7 window 1 Ton Dually Custom Hauler. There is SO MUCH custom fabrication that went in to creating this One Of A Kind rig. This spent its entire life. 2 owners in 1 county in north West Oregon . absolutely ZERO RUST or ROT!I will list as much as I can think of and if I miss anything I will add more as I think about or I am asked. Engine: 455 Buick Big Block. newly rebuilt and just sat. just rebuilt the carb and it runs like a top. 17miles since the rebuild. Transmission: is 400TH professionally rebuilt with hardernd sprag. HD towing clutch packs. corvette cervos and pumps. new Genie shifter to give it the manual trans look. Rear End: is factory with 4:11 gears changed from the factory 4:56 geasrs. I will be including a late model corporate 14 bolt rear with 3:42 gear for a much more highway friendly gear. Ideally this truck needs an OVERDRIVE. Fuel Tanks: are two 30 gallon barrels under the rear. I had always been on the hunt for some urathane tanks like in my 3100 for the rig. but they work for now with a swithc for front or rear tank. Brakes: are still the drum brakes but have been redone and do work. I recently found a way to instal disc brakes on the factory straight axle and will share that with the new owner. Bed: The Dually stepside bed is fully custom. Bed floor. bulk head and inner wheel wells are late model. the bed sides are stock 3600 3/4 ton bed sides and fenders. tailgate is stock with 3 1/2 inchs added to each side to gice a stocl appearance. Running Boards: since a 1 ton dually stepside never exsisted many of the pieces have ahd to be hand fabricated. The running boards being no exception. I have 2 sets included to make on long set that will works perfectly and fit all the way to the rear fenders. Cab Mods: The cab was cut and extended 14 inchs the fill pieces where the extra widow were cut from 4 donor doors to give it that exact belt line. factory window seals will work and if one decided that wanted the extra windows to function the tracks are there as well from the donor doors already in place. Other random info: Two radiator were used to make sureample cooling was available for the big block even on the hottest days. Power steering on the factory straght axle. Power wipers. 1968 Cadillac tilt telescope column an wheelAll new VDO speedo. tach. oil. water temp. oil pressure. volts. 2 fuel guages ans new clock. all in custom aluminum fab dash. Custom bucket shorty seats and steel bases. The artillery wheels are Kelsey Hayes 3 piece wheels. They are the safety wheel design and wont come apart when aired up. The design is great I was looking into buying late model hoops and just weld these centers in. ! ton bumpers included. they are MUCH heavier then 1/2 or 3/4 ton bumpers. It has a simple after market harness for wiring. If I get my reserve I will be including some other parts I have been acquiring for the truck. like: new 1 wire updated wiring kit. new power window. kit for the 47' vent free windows. vintage A/C kitnew in floor pedel for power brakes. I am sure I am missing plenty of things but I want to get this ad listed so it runs Sunday to Sunday. This vehicle is also availble locally so I reserve the right to end auction at any time!Any question please Feel Free to contact me about the truckI am always available 615-239-3899I will be posting more pics with the new glass installed in the next couple days. I wanted to instal a 6. 0 LS and AOD or even better yet a Duramax and Allison. but my road dog and much loved pup I was building this truck to go show to show with. I lost in September to an lung nfection and the project has just sat since. I want someone who will take her to the next level. On Jan-26-15 at 23:26:30 PST. seller added the following information:To give a little more information. as I've already been asked:YES. Vehicle starts. runs. stop and drive. There is easily 500 hrs of fabrication and metal work in this truck. Yes the NEW A/C compressor for the Vintage A/C is already on the engine and still factory plugged. Concerning the dent in the cowl I deceided to leave it as it because it was 6 hrs of body work I just didnt feel like doing after i lost my pup. Weld plugs and it will pull out easily. There are pieces missing I do NOT have. door handles. window cranks (was going power windows). headlight bezels were in good condition but accidentally sold by my GF at Goodguys swapmeet last summer. none of the missing pieces are the hard to find expensive pieces. I even have a seconf set of origional running boards that come with it to make the extra long custom 1 ton running boards. I do have ALL glass and seals (except extra cab glass) easily cut at any glass shop. f I get a chance I will make a pattern (I'd planned on making them roll up and down for my K-9 so he could stick his nose in the wind). Any glass shop can cut these pieces cheap. I am installing all the other glass and new window seals now. Will update with more pics interior and glass before auction end. The tires are NOT what I'd planned on running but made great rollers untill I got my rims made and would have ran a new style radial Load E truck tire. IE unless you live down the street from me you're NOT driving this big beast home. If you are the winner and plan on coming and hauling this home yourself. I would NOT attempt it with a 1/2 ton truck and a U-haul dolly. u-haul or a utility trailer. she is TOO BIG and TOO HEAVY A TRUCK. She also comes with another 3/4 ton GM corporate 14 bolt rear end. So bring a 3/4 ton or one ton to haul this ole girl or you may find yourself having to get hauled home yourself. I will be taking interior photos as soon as the weather cooperates and I can pull the rig back outside. If I have not mentioned anything please feel free to ask.
