Car description

Please read the entire description!!! For sale is an amazing fully documented 1967 427 Corvette Stingray Coupe. Please note the AIG pictures are real and of this car. I bought the car from them two years ago this past December (2012). I elected to use some of their photos in my add. because it's snowing and -14 degrees in Minnesota right now!!! The car has a clean Minnesota Title and it's in my name. I have the original title and lien from the State of Ohio dated from March of 1967. which also matches the Protecto-Plate see photos!!!There are many 1967 427 Corvette Coupes so many in fact. that there are more out there now than Chevrolet ever produced. People claim to have Tank stickers and talk about numbers matching. To be honest tank stickers are nice but really don't hold a lot of weight. now some of you are probably getting upset with me right now. The truth is that tank stickers never had the VIN stamped on them and that's an "undisputed fact. " The truth be told is you could get a tank sticker. block and spend the time to build a correct numbers matching car and have the "tank sticker. " That still does not prove the cars authenticity. unless you have the protecto-plate you really don't have squat. and some are saying you can fake that too. sure you can but faking that is a Federal Offense. and also punishable by most States Fraud Laws and Statutes!!! The sad truth is that most of these cars are fake mis-representations of the original 427 cars. Let's be honest Buick has the Sloan Museum. Pontiac has the PHS (Pontiac Historical Services). Ford has the Marti Reports. and Mopars have Galen Govier. Chevrolet's records except for Chevrolet of Canada records mysteriously burned in a fire? What separates my Corvette from all the rest is what I call "Bullet Proof" Documentation. I have the original Protecto-Plate. Tank Sticker. Title. and Lien for the Original Title that all match the Protecto-plate. Please see the photo's and look at the name of the original owner it match's the title and protecto-plate. My car also is still wearing it's original "Marlboro Maroon" paint. So what does all this mean? This means you have a car with a no-hit body. and documentation from day one. I have complete owner history from March of 1967!!! How many can say or prove that??? Also my car has the born with drive train. no re-stamping here!!! This is the real deal folks!!! This is what separates a clone from a real car. this is the documentation that will separate a $3. 5 million dollar L-88 1967 Corvette. from a $150. 00 frame off clone!!! I can't tell you how much this Corvette will be worth 20 years from now $150. 00. $200. 00 or perhaps $500. 00? But I can promise you that a "real documented. 1967 427 Corvette will never go down in value!!! Some may ask why and how do you know that? It's hands down the most sought after C2 Corvette ever made. nbsp;and Chevrolet only made about 3. 32 of these cars with an L-36 427 V-8. If safe to suffice that about 1/2 of these cars we're destroyed and about 1/2 survived. Now there are probably about 15. 00 fakes or undocumented examples. but not many real ones left!!!Some will argue that the 1963 split window was the king of the C2 Corvette's. Well if you were to poll anyone who is into Corvette's there are a few attributes that make a 1967 427 Corvette King!!! One is the 427 Big block V-8. nothing pulls like a 427 and the L-36 made 390 horsepower and 460 pounds of ft. torque. the Stinger hood is probably the sexiest attribute to ever adorne a C2. 4 wheel disk brakes and that sleek fast back body. name another car with better looks??? Maybe a silver Gullwing with a red interior. that maybe the age old $64. 00 dollar question???The condition of the body is good. it's not perfect!!! The frame has some surface rust and will need to be blasted and painted if the car was ever to be restored. but no replacement or repair other than the typical sand blasting. and powder coating. The engine and transmission have less than 500 miles on them and boy does this car drive nice. The carb and head light motors were just restored and re installed. they needed it!!! The rest of the car is original and untouched. I've kept her unrestored for two reasons: 1). At shows this thing hands down draws more of a crowd than any other restored Corvette than I have ever seen. 2). This is what I call a reference car. if your restoring a Corvette this is a great car to have because she has all the correct overspray. hand painted pin striping for the stinger. correct flags. just a great car to reference when your restoring another car. This would be a great car for a NCRS Club to purchase and use for a reference car!!!Here are the options for this car according to the tank sticker:STD TM BLACK TRIM427 Tubo Jet V-83. 36 POSITRACTIONM21 4SPD CLOSE RATIO TRANSMISSION775X15X2 PLY WSW TIRESU69 PB AM/FM RADIOA01 TINTED GLASS (ALL WINDOWS)Happy Bidding. and please bid only if you can afford to buy the car.
