1949 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup Truck Chopped Cadillac 500 TH400

Nice restomod that runs strong. drives and handles great and stops on a dime. Please read everything and look at pictures and linked video before asking questions. Here is a link to a youtube video:http://youtu. be/Ys5Zw6Z_k6wTruck was built from the ground up using a Ford Explorer frame that provides 4 wheel disc brakes and power rack and pinion steering. It is also a more rigid frame that the stock one. Wheels are 17"and tires show no wear. All suspension wear items were replaced. The cab received a minor chop of 2" to give it a little attitude without making it uncomfortable to drive. The cab sheet metal is all original and all the bed sheet metal and running boards are repo pieces as are all the bumpers. emblems door handles and other bright work. Doors have bear claw type latches. All glass is new as is rubber and window channel. The wipers are driven using a new electric wiper motor replacing the old vacuum unit. The bed wood is Poplar finished with multiple hand applied coats of boiled linseed oil for a more stock appearance. The bed strips and fasteners are polished stainless steel. The fuel tank is under the bed and is filled through a stainless marine filler neck. The interior has new TPI gauges. tilt column and a retro steering wheel. The ac/heat is a new under dash unit also with a retro look. The dash grill is hinged concealing an Alpine Bluetooth head unit and amp switches. The speakers and amps are hidden with the small subs under the seat and 6x9 DSL speakers in the kick panels. All this allows for a nice sounding system 100% hidden. The engine is from a 1976 Cadillac rebuilt stock with the exception of a mild cam and an Edelbrock carb. The trans is a short shaft TH400. The radiator is a new oversized all aluminum unit. the alternator is rebuilt and AC compressor is a new Sanden unit. There are tons more new parts. too many to list. All in all this is a very nice truck but is not a $60K+ pro built one but could be easily refined into one. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule to see it before bidding.
