Car description |
---|
I have a near all original 1965 Chevy C-10 for immediate sale.
Fleetside, long bed with a small window.
I purchased this truck a year ago and turned it into a very reliable daily driver / date night truck. As you can see, I wasn't going for the show car look. From what I know and can tell, the paint and sheet metal is all original from 1965. The frame has zero rust and the body has very little. The little bit of rust that is on the body has been covered with 1/16" THK Alum sheetmetal. This truck was originally sold in California and was used as a farm truck. It made it's way across the country sometime in the mid 1990's. The truck comes with the original 283 (not in the truck at this time). The 283 ran just fine when I pulled it, however it is very tired and leaked and burned a lot of oil. None the less, it's the original engine that ran very well with no knocks or funny noises. It currently has a 1978 small block 350, 4-bolt main with big valve fuelie heads (double hump heads). The heads were just rebuilt with hardened seats, new spring and SS valves. It has an Edelbrock manifold, DUI HEI distributor, Holley 600 w/ vac. secondaries. The truck has approximately 87K original miles on it.
Here's a list of what I've done to the truck since I purchased it:
SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS:
Pick up is preferred, however I will aid with shipping logistics. The buyer is responsible for setting up shipping. The truck can easily loaded onto a truck or trailer. There is plenty of room for 53' trailers if a larger vehicle will be transporting this truck. The truck must be picked up within 7 days of purchase date. $20/day storage will be added to bill after the initial 7 days has lapsed.
PAYMENT:
$1000 deposit is due within 24 hours of purchase. If picking up, cash, money orders or bank check will be accepted as payment. I also accept credit cards, however a 4% convenience charge will be added. If shipping, balance is due within 3 days of purchase date.

Here's a list of what I've done to the truck since I purchased it:
- Every wire and connector in the truck has been replaced with a completely new wire harness from American Autowire out of New Jersey. It features all original connectors and wire colors so any electrical issue can be traced using the factory service manual.
- New white oak bed floor.

- New clutch and throw out bearing.
- New brake shoes and wheel cylinders on all four corners
- The truck will come with two sets of wheels and tires, the 22" transit wheels and 15" chevy Rally Wheels. Both sets of tires have well over 75% tread left. The transit wheel tires have about 1500 miles on them.
- New fuel tank
- Recovered seat
- New door, window seals and vent window seals.
- New vinyl floor with insulation.
- Fabricated aluminum gas pedal.
- Very rare factory installed rear farm bumper.
- Lowered front and rear with CPP lowering kit. 5" in rear 4" in front. New shocks on all 4 corners. Panhard bar installed with mini 'C' Notch.
- Re-geared with 3:08 rear gears for highway driving.
