Car description

It's no secret that we love these handsome Chevy trucks, and this tastefully customized 1968 Chevrolet C10 pickup delivers all the things we like with a few tricks that make us love it. Add in a great color, a very strong small block V8, and a full custom interior and you get a truck that's daily driver friendly but sharp enough to qualify for a spot on the show field. You can tell even at a glance that this is a special truck. It's clean and sleek, at once familiar and unique, leading you to wonder what else is in store. Well, for starters, most of the trim has been shaved, including the name badges, so this square-jawed workhorse now has a very sleek look. They resisted the urge to add a cowl induction hood or other styling gimmicks, because, quite honestly, it's hard to beat the factory styling on these trucks. The bed features a factory tailgate with big CHEVROLET letters embossed on its surface, and the familiar taillights look great thanks to fresh lenses. Along the way, you'll note the beautiful burgundy metallic paint that was borrowed from a late-model color chart and the bodywork wears it splendidly. Great gaps and a deep shine emphasize the truck's sporty personality and the beautifully refinished light-colored bed showcases a master craftsman's work. You get more than a working class interior with this truck, because it's just as custom and just as well executed. Handsome brown vinyl upholstery does a fantastic job of looking like real leather and the 70/30 split bench seat includes a custom center console with built-in cup holders. That beautiful seat upholstery is matched with some custom-stitched carpets and door arm rests that really tie the whole interior together nicely. The original gauges are gone, replaced by a set of very clean, crisp Dakota Digital dials that look like they were born there. There's an AM/FM stereo head unit in the dash and powerful Vintage Air A/C, so it feels quite up-to-date from behind the wheel. Those dials under the dash are for the Air Ride suspension, which gives this truck a great ride as well as the in-the-weeds stance that makes it look great.More great stuff is happening under the hood, where you'll find a great-running 350 cubic inch small block V8. The engine bay is very clean and well-finished, with shiny black inner fenders flanking a neatly dressed engine block. With an Edelbrock carburetor and aluminum intake manifold, custom Comp Cams camshaft, aluminum heads, and an HEI distributor, it feels more like a Corvette than a pickup truck. It's got that awesome lumpy idle and thanks to long-tube headers and a pair of Flowmaster mufflers, the soundtrack is racy, not trucky like you'd expect. The 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission is fitted with a snappy shift kit and with acceleration-friendly gears in the 10-bolt rear end, this is one pickup that's shockingly quick off the line. The transmission was rebuilt not too long ago, so it's ready to enjoy, and the truck's air suspension doesn't seem to mind the extra power. However, you will appreciate the 255/55/17 front and 275/50/17 rear performance radials on polished Torque Thrust wheels, which not only look great but help plant all that power.Nicely finished trucks like this aren't easy to build and there's far more than the asking price tied up in it. So stop shopping for a project and take this finished truck home instead. Call now!
