Being a history buff...I truly love this car! Just think, the guy that purchased it in 1929 brand new for 500 bucks probably regretted it. In 1929 the stock market crashed and the great depression had begun in the US. He might have sold the car for food money, who knows. Car survived 2 world wars and close to 90 years. If it could only talk!!
Anyway.....relisting my car because previous winner could not pay.
1st year for the straight 6 pushrod overhead valve motor. 46.7 horsepower. It has high and low beams which was the first year for that option. Opitional brake light, opitional gauge cluster, original 3 speed transmission, original rear end, original manual break set up. 95% original. 12 volt conversion. Original distributor and starter. Engine was redone about 8 years ago. Any parts I had to replace were done so with new old stock. Engine is original to car. Water pump has been replaced with a reproduction modern water pump so it looks original. Original honeycomb radiator. CAR LOOKS AND RUNS GREAT!
I, like most buyers are not looking to purchase a car like this to take the family to Disney. Its a love for the car and an investment so here is some data.
BASED ON DATA FROM 18 MAJOR AUCTIONS: AVERAGE SALE PRICE $22,848.00 LOWEST $4,400.00 (I saw that car, a hot mess) HIGHEST 47,883.00. AVERAGE SALE VALUE $22,436.00 (disregarding highest and lowest sale)
With the Stock Market at all time highs and a major correction on its way, many investors are turning to safer investments...Gold, cash and classic cars. This car would be a great investment AND ITS FRIGGIN COOL!
Thanks for looking and good luck!
