Car description |
---|
Up for sale is a '62 Impala which has just had a frame-off restoration. Aside from the drivetrain, the car has been restored to its original factory condition, including the factory color of almond beige.
Drivetrain: Mildly built 454 mated to a Muncie 4 speed with a posi rearend. Simply a period-correct build that runs like new. Literally every nut and bolt on this car has been wire-wheeled and clear coated.
Exterior: All exterior trim and glass are original, please look at the photos for details. The entire car was taken down to metal and painted in 2015 (we have pics of the process if you'd like to see them)The entire chassis has been painted with PPG DP90 epoxy, along with every part connected to the chassis as well as the engine compartment. Wheels and tires: Brand new Cragar Delux 69s (steel wheels) with Coker L78 bias ply tires. The car was painted with base/clear PPG Deltron paint.
Interior: The interior is in very nice shape, no rips or tears (see pics). The only piece that is not factory is the CD/MP3 player. The headliner is also in excellent condition.
NOTE: The VIN denotes that this is a V8 Sports Coupe assembled in Atlanta GA, and was a southern car most of its life. It turns out the dealer on the trunk emblem is still open today!
Overall, the car runs and drives like new and turns heads everywhere it goes. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. This car is sold in as-is condition with no warranty expressed or implied.
We will gladly assist with shipping arrangements.
$500 deposit due to winning bidder at auction's end. Bank checks accepted, and vehicle can be picked up when funds have cleared.
Thank you for viewing and good luck!
