Car description

1955 Chevrolet Bel-Air I'm selling this very hard to find classic Chevy for a close friend. I will explain everything I know about the car through what he told me. and what I saw when I shot the pictures for him. This may be the father and son project you've been searching for. This is a very nice example of a 1955 Chevy where a lot of the hard work has already been done. There is a rack and pinion front end set-up with 2 inch drop down spindles. with new calipers. rotors. and front disc brakes. It looks like all the front suspension has been replaced. and should be set up for the small or big block of the lucky winning bidders choice. The undercarriage is set up for a turbo 400. There are over $1500 dollars in gauges with a nice B&M shifter. There is a 12-bolt positive traction 4. 33 rear-end. There is a complete aftermarket wiring system with an electronic fuel pump. The floors are in very good condition. and the trunk floor is also in nice solid condition as seen in the pictures. The frame was removed from the body. and nicely painted in low gloss black with all new body bushings. This is a very solid body. and all of the body panels are in good shape. The only blemishes I saw were on the passenger door. There is a nice front windshield and rear window included. but the side windows will need to be found by the new owner. although both vent windows are good. A bunch of the original body chrome is sitting on the original rear seat. There is a pair of correct bumpers in decent drivers quality condition. but to make them perfect they will need to be re-chromed. The mileage is unknown and stated as exempt on the open. clean. and clear Wisconsin title. The Nada Classic Car Price Guide that anyone can look up on-line has the 1955 Chevrolet Bel-Air valued at $50. 00 in high condition. which they consider an excellent overall vehicle that was completely restored. or an original vehicle showing very minimal wear. Note: This value does not represent a 100 point show car or a #1 vehicle. Those vehicles can reach much higher prices. $21. 00 in average condition. which they consider in good overall condition that could be an older restoration or a well maintained original vehicle that is completely operable. The exterior paint. trim. and mechanics are presentable and serviceable inside and out. They say an average condition car is considered a 20-Footer! They have the lowest condition value at $11. 00 being considered a deteriorated restoration or a very poor restoration. but mostly usable "As-Is!" The lowest value does not represent a parts car. I think this Classic Chevy could reach some serious numbers if done to Barrett-Jackson standards. The Nada numbers don't lie! The '55 Chevy is a very valuable automobile! These 1950's Chevy's have consistently shown to escalate in value with each quarter. Whether you had one as a youth and would like to recapture that glory or you just want to drive around a bank account. this may be the classic you've been dreaming of. If you really want to make yourself one spectacular looking antique vehicle be prepared to be the spectacle of the neighborhood. Everywhere you drive these cars people are attracted to them like a magnet. These cars are getting harder and harder to come across. I personally witnessed a 1955 Bel-Air sell at the Barrett-Jackson auction this past Saturday for $145. 00. The car was in primer!! I know it had a nice engine. but I was really taken back to see something like that bring that type of money. This gem could probably be made into something close to that one. That car can easily be looked up online at the Barrett-Jackson website. Why pay the inflated prices like those listed above when you can own the same looking car for a reasonable amount of money?? This is a prime opportunity to own a piece of muscle car history at a fraction of that price. A great deal of time. money. and effort went into preparing the car you see listed in this description. What you see is exactly what you get! I tried to describe all of the pertinent information. so any potential bidder can make the most informed decision possible before placing their bid. I am a brutally honest person. so if there is anything else you feel I may have missed. please ask me any question you like. I pride myself in answering every question in explicit detail with the utmost honesty. This cool All-American classic muscle car is being offered at "No Reserve" on a quick 3-day auction ending Sunday evening at 8:00pm Eastern time. 7:00pm Central time. and 5:00pm Pacific time. Please do not bid unless you definitely have all of your funds in order prior to placing your bids. Thank You for taking the time to view this auction! Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!
