Car description |
---|
We are pleased to present this highly optioned 1966 Corvette Coupe created in metallic silver over metallic silver interior. The car came equipped with the 350HP engine, power steering, power brakes, factory A/C, AM/FM Radio. The block casting is 3858174, and the engine stamp is 3122675 (matches the VIN) and FO42IHP which according to the Corvette Black Book indicates 350HP, mt, ps, ac. I don't know how many were made with these options and colors, but there can't be many.
This Corvette C2 has been restored and we believe has traveledonly 1541 miles since the restoration was completed. We love C2 coupes and bought the car from a gentleman here in Kingman, AZ as part of our personal collection in October 2014 when it had just over 400 miles on the odometer. We have a large file on the car that has some info dating back as far as 1968 when it was titled to someone in Prescott, AZ. By the receipts it looks like it was subject to a long restoration that was completed in 2000 in Buena Vista, CO. It must have been mostly a trailer queen since then as it still shows very, very nice and has very little signs of road wear. As you can see in the pictures the interior and exterior are in very good condition. The car runs and drives excellent and the air conditioning will cool you down even here in Arizona. With these options this car is comfortable to drive as a daily driver. As far as we know this car has not been judged by NCRS but should make a good candidate as it was restored very correctly.
The car was invited to the Quail Motorsports Gathering in Carmel in 2016 to show as an example of a 1966 Sports Car example of that era. We'll sorely miss this car but our priorities are changing a bit right now, so it's time to let this one go. We will gladly assist you with finding a shipper.
