We have a copy of the original 1976 title. I have been working for the dealership for 10 years. am an NCRS member and purchased it as a 2nd Corvette for just something to play with but another project is forcing me to sell this. So this is my personal Corvette. not a dealership vehicle. I have done quite a bit of detailing and routine maintenance while I owned it. The previous owner had the motor rebuilt about 4 years ago but whoever did it painted the block black. So I removed what I could and repainted the engine its correct orange. I also did a full tune-up because I like to know when things were done. Here is a list of the work I did to it: spark plugs. plug wires. cap. rotor. PCV valve. air filter. thermostat & gasket. coolant flush. oil change with Brad Penn oil. valve cover gaskets. fuel filter. full carburetor rebuild. choke pull-off assembly. choke spring. belt. wiper blades. hard lines to fuel pump rubber fuel lines. sun visors (originals included) and both bumpers with new mounting hardware. I have driven it about 1. 00 miles since I got it last winter. almost 400 came from taking it to Vintage weekend at Watkins Glen this past fall. It ran perfectly without any issues the entire weekend. At some point it had a pearl coat sprayed over it. you can still see some overspray in the wheel wells. but the door jams still look like the original paint. I had to replace both bumpers because they were the originals and starting to crack like they all do. The previous owner always kept the car in the garage and it looks like it was never subject to winter driving because other than surface rust it is extremely solid and you can see all four fender bonding strips. It still has its original shocks and springs. One unique thing about this ’74 is that the word ‘SPECIAL’ is written under the decklid. I have not been able to find out what that means. It doesn’t appear to have any special options or features on it. at least that I can see. I was able to see a part of the tank sticker but have not tried to take it off and see if there is anything written on it. While I have spent a lot of time detailing this Corvette. I have also tried to preserve its originality. I had taken pictures throughout the detailing process to show how it was when I got it. Some say this is the last of the true Corvettes due to it not having a catalytic converter and not having HEI ignition. This is your chance to own this very nice driving. solid and great running 1974 Corvette. If you have any questions or would like any additional pictures please feel free to contact me.
