Car description |
---|
Up for sale I have my 1986 Corvette. It runs strong and has an automatic jasper transmission. Over the past two years I have replaced:
Alternator
Starter
Battery
Brake Master Cylinder
Air Conditioner Condenser
Tires (4 brand new 245/45/17 with less than 100 miles on them)
Valve cover and gaskets
Engine Gaskets
Head Gaskets
Belt
Injector Rings
Spark plugs
Carpet
Rear Hatch Shocks
Wiper arms and wipers
And more that I can't even remember!
I also have brand new brake pads ready to be installed and a rear hatch seal that needs to be installed.
Overall this corvette is in good condition. It runs good and strong (it's actually pretty fast!). It needs some cosmetic TLC to get it back in perfect shape, but you can do that while you're driving it around! As you can see in the pictures the body (hood especially) has some places that need to be fixed and it has several "spider cracks" that are typical for older corvettes. It does have newer style C4 bumpers and side pieces. It also has updated LT style exhaust tips. The door panels are in good shape, but the mounting tabs are broken in some places, so you will have to find a way to attach the door panels in certain places. The horn stopped working so I have it wired to a horn button below the dash now. Does not smoke or burn oil. The odometer shows 57,000 miles, but the car actually has 116,000 miles on it. The gauge is getting hard to see, so it will need to be addressed soon. Other than that, this car is ready to go!
This corvette also has chrome 17" ZR-1 wheels that cost over 1200.00, they are wrapped in brand new (less than 100 miles) 245/45/17 tires.
Take a look at the pictures and contact me if you are interested. It is not currently inspected because I have been working on it the past year or so to try to restore some of its former glory. But it will pass Virginia inspection with no issues.
