90% restored 14 years ago and kept in a garage.I purchased the car 5 yrs. ago and has been garaged ever since. I fixed some defects in the motor, finished the interior, cleaned it up and had to research all the the vin, frame and body numbers with the Maine State police. This was all due to the fact, when the car was being restored the owner decided that he wanted a 69 dash and nose, when they did this they failed to take the old numbers off the 68 dash. The state police checked all the numbers and found out the fire wall had not been change, we found this out by disassembling the front end, toke heater out and acid treated the fire wall under where the heater was. They ran the numbers and it came back to a 1968 Chevelle. I have all the papers on the car. The state issued a new vin. number, which is now inside the door and is registered under that number. Looking at this car you will see a center post which you could order them that way in 1968. more info - Ed 207-333-2456
