Car description |

1980 Corvette
I've had this Corvette for a couple of years with the intention of restoring it; however, as usual.........too many projects and too little time have won out again. A little about the car....
Body: There's a few cracks in the fiberglass but nothing that's beyond repair. It's all original from I can tell and from what the previous owner told me. It does appear that there was a repaint and the clear coat is peeling so it will need paint for sure but it currently has that 70's look. It is solid though, just take a look at those body lines and gaps between panels and you see how solid the car is.
Interior: It's a beautiful light tan and appears to be all original parts. That being said, the carpet probably needs replaced and the seats need a good cleaning, but it's all there. From what I can tell everything works, windows, etc. Even the clock is still ticking away.
Mechanical: The engine is the L48 350 with automatic transmission. I drove the car home and it drove and shifted great; however, it has since developed a transmission fluid leak from one of the lines going to the radiator so its likely low on fluid now. It has less than 100K on the odometer and as you can see is all there and complete, perfect for a restoration. The brakes don't work, I'm guessing due to a bad wheel cylinder or master cylinder, I just didn't want to fix the small things when I was going to tear the whole car apart anyway.
Etc: As you can see it still rides on the original wheels and the tires have good tread.......but they are clearly several years old. The car is solid and would make for a perfect restoration project for a low price. I am setting a reserve, but its a low reserve. Clean and clear KY title in my name.
If you have any questions please ask and if you can come by and look that would be great.
Thanks and Happy Bidding!
