Car description

7/10 Body off restoration done within the last three years. Has a 305ci motor from a 80-85 Camaro mated to a 700R4 transmission which is the weak link in this truck. The frame has been painted/coated. the undercarriage has been painted/coated. all brackets and suspension parts have been painted/coated and the entire body inside the cab and out have been painted the blue color shown which is similar to Marina Blue on the 1967 Corvettes. It is a beautiful truck that is in very good shape with absolutely no rust anywhere on the body panels at this time. I brought the truck out of Iowa but it was an originally a Texas truck with only 66. XX miles showing on the odometer when I purchased the truck this last summer. I was going to drop a 383 stroker in it along with getting the 700R4 built up to handle its new found power that the 305 was clearly lacking but medical bills are forcing me to sell my dream truck. It has a roll pan in the rear. the body and paint are 7/10 with a 10 being the $30k and above trucks and it still has the factory spot welds on the rocker panels which leads me to believe it truly is a very low mileage original truck. Based on the VIN it appears to have started out life as a straight six truck but other than that it has not been chopped cut and abused like so many other old C10's that are out there for sale. Pros-Body off restoration that was done with great attention to detail by some people who had a good knowledge of what they were doing. 1967 that hasn't been chopped up and abused by the previous owners. drives really nice with no free play in the steering wheel and has a very good paint job with no rust. New tires front and rear with nice turbine style wheels that a person doesn't see much anymore. No rust in the steel box floor and coated to still be able to use it for hauling if a person really wanted to. Nice interior has original seat upolstery in pristine shape underneath vinyl cover if a person ever wanted to go back to the factory green the truck started out as. 12 bolt rear end. Painless wiring harness so all electrical is new. Cons-POS 305 motor that while is in running order needs to be pulled for something that does the truck justice. The truck has drum brakes on all four corners. the window regulators are a little stiff like they all are if they haven't been replaced and it has a leak from the front input shaft going into the transmission which I hadn't replaced yet because I figured I would do it with the engine swap. Airbags in the rear that are manual fill but easy to access. Doesn't have positrac. If you really interested in the truck and serious about buying it feel free to give me a call at 605-939-1769 and ask for Joe to answer any more questions that you may have.
