Car description |
---|
1947 Chevrolet Stylemaster Coupe. Very well maintained and great running and driving example. It's a very clean driver quality car that shows well and is solid and rust free. It was repainted years back and does have some imperfections and chips but still shines well. Interior is a very nice original reproduction. car still retains its 6 Volt electrical system and it's original 216cid engine and vacuum assisted 3 speed transmission that was recently overhauled and works perfectly.
Other recent maintenance performed:
New exhaust system with glass pack muffler and chrome tip.
All new wheel cylinders and rebuilt master cylinder.
New front and rear flexible brake lines.
New stainless steel fuel quantity sending unit.
Recent front end alignment.
Carburetor overhaul with ethanol safe parts.
I cruised this car for three hours in 90 degree weather a few weeks ago at the American Graffiti Celebration in Modesto with no problems at all. It has bias ply tires on it so it wanders a bit until they warm up, it does drip a little oil like an old car and the clock and speedo do not work. The upper grill bar has a crack in it. It's not a perfectly restored Concourse car but it is very nice. The radio is currently not working but I am having it looked at this week and it should be fixed by close of auction. Feel free to ask questions and I encourage an inspection in person if you can. You will not be disappointed.
I am not a dealer but I buy and sell a few classic cars a year and my feedback speaks for itself. Bid with confidence.
