* I just added some new, additional information at the bottom of the listing. Saturday 6/17/17 4:30 pm.
There are no surprises with this incredibly clean and meticulously maintained C-3 Corvette! With just a quick walk around it's obvious this car has never suffered any body or paint damage of any sort. It still has the original factory paint with no touch ups or repairs and what you see is a 38 year old L-82 Corvette in incredible condition! The interior is just as remarkable and shows very minimal wear. It doesn't end with the looks and appearance because it performs even better than it looks! We all know how much fun it is to pull the T-Tops off and go for a drive in a nice Classic Corvette but when you throw in an additional 140 Horsepower under the hood with a nice sounding set of headers and a four speed transmission it takes that fun and excitement to an entirely different level! This car is a lot of fun to drive and it drives extremely well. I just drove it down to South Florida last weekend and it performed flawlessly. Never overheats or gives any problems whatsoever. There's been just enough performance work done to it to give it plenty of power while still remaining mild enough for a daily driver. All engine and performance upgrades were done by Dyno-Comp Speed Shop in Scottsdale, AZ. One of the premier Speed Shops in the Nation that specializes in Exotic high-end luxury sports cars. Upgrades include a Hydraulic Cam, aluminum intake, holly carb, lifters, push rods, roller rockers, distributor, Edlebrock gear drive, hi-flow fuel pump, Stans headers and true dual exhaust stainless steel two and a half inch. This car spent its entire life in the dry desert of Arizona and has absolutely no rust on the undercarriage or anywhere. It's been very well cared for and never abused. I'm in my mid sixties and the original owner was a Dentist in his mid fourties when he purchased it new. Don't get me wrong though, just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't like fast cars with a nice exhaust sound. I just don't abuse my cars like I did thirty or fourty years ago. I still enjoy a fast car that responds when I put my foot down I just dont do a lot of drag racing from one stoplight to the next like I did in the early seventies ( well maybe a little) sometimes you just can't help it! I included a link below to a video I just made so you can see and hear it running. The video and photos pretty much tell the story about this amazing C-3 Vette and it speaks for its self. Everything works as it should on this car except the power antenna which got broken years ago in a car wash and was replaced with a flex antenna. Also has ice cold A/C! Personally speaking I can't think of any better way to invest your money than in a nice, well cared for classic Corvette especially when it's in original factory condition with a little added performance to go with it! I welcome anyone that's interested to please call me and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have about the car. I encourage interested parties to come inspect and test drive before buying if it's feasible and as an alternative you are welcome to have a third party inspector check it out for you. Just give me a call at 843-321-2802 to setup a time and I'll be happy to accommodate. All inspections must be done prior to the auction ending. This is an as - is sale with no warranty or returns and it's the bidders responsibility to ensure the fitness of the vehicle before bidding. I have hundreds of recent photos and videos and will be glad to share them with anyone interested. Included with the sale is all of the original vehicle documentation I have which is a large folder full of service and maintenance receipts, a copy of the original title from 1979, work orders and receipts for performance work and parts used, owners manual, Warranty cards, battery & tire warranty cards and just a bunch of other related paperwork. I also have all of the original equipment that was removed, intake, exhaust manifold, timing chain, carb, lifters, push rods, dist, fuel pump etc. if the buyer wanted to return it back to all stock. I do have a clean & clear title that will be signed over to the new owner as soon as all funds clear. Shipping is the buyers responsibility and I will assist in working with the buyer and buyers agents in any way. If you choose to fly in and drive it back home I will meet at the airport with the car but do not provide a tag. I have the car currently insured for a guaranteed replacement value of $17,500 through Hagerty Classic Car Insurance. The buyer is going to get a very, nice Corvette Stingray!
* I forgot to mention this car does have the Borg Warner W-12 transmission. I also added a photo above showing the documentation I have with the car. As you see there is a lot. I basically broke it down into groups; one with service and maintenance receipts, one with state inspections, insurance cards, registration renewals etc. and one with owners manuals, warranty cards, tire and battery warranty, dealer brochures, copy of original title and current title.I also discovered when looking through the paperwork that in 2013 all of the front suspension was replaced from the sway bar, tierods, ball joints, bushings, everything in the front suspension new in 2013. I haven't read all of this paperwork because there is so much of it but I did notice the receipt for the new suspension when looking over some of it.
