Some pickup trucks make a statement with excess, but this 1969 Chevrolet C20 Custom pickup does it with subtlety and elegance. Nicely restored, stuffed with a great-running 350 crate motor, and with a lot of neat details that will get you noticed, it's the kind of tasteful truck that we'd all like to own.Starting with the color, a lovely soft seafoam green with white highlights, this truck makes a statement. While most of the others are red or black or bright yellow, this one is quietly confident in its ability to look good without even trying. Of course, the C20's angular look has a lot to do with it, and having a long bed and regular cab gives it ideal proportions. Then there's the straight sheetmetal underneath, ultra-tight gaps, and an overall look that seems to suggest someone worked overtime to get the little stuff right. All the original trim remains in place, including the black accents along the lower body, which make this truck look even longer than it already is. Heck, they even kept the stock grille in place instead of stuffing a generic billet piece in the slot! Chrome bumpers look fantastic, the bold CHEVROLET letters on the tailgate proudly stand out, and the overall impression is that someone knew the good stuff when they saw it, and decided to leave it alone. The bed shows that it is still ready to work, and has a color-matched bed liner, tool box, and full-sized spare tire. The interior inverts the exterior color scheme, with lovely green upholstery on the original bench seat. Workmanship is impressive and the seat cover looks fairly fresh with no creases or damage on the seating surfaces. But the upscale touches don't stop there, it also offers handsome door panels that continue the theme, a color-matched dashboard, and a shiny instrument panel that looks great. The gauges themselves appear to be original and they're joined by a tach in the center spot along with a set of auxiliary gauges under the dash, including a transmission temperature gauge (this is a -ton truck, after all, so it's built to tow). Other noteworthy details include a steering wheel that looks stock but is a little more dressed up, durable rubber mats, and a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo head unit. Pop the hood and you'll discover a very neatly detailed 350 cubic inch crate motor that has a few upgrades to make this big truck feel light on its feet. A Demon 4-barrel carburetor, MSD ignition, and an aluminum intake manifold help with the deep breathing, and long-tube headers help build torque. It's worth noting that there's zero rust on the inner fenders or firewall, and the level of detailing suggests that this truck was more than just a working-class tool throughout its life. It starts easily and sounds awesome with a custom Flowmaster dual exhaust system with X-pipe. A 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission shifts crisply and drives a 12-bolt rear, and the overdrive gear makes this a comfortable truck on the highway. The suspension is still stock, so it doesn't mind hauling the really big stuff and it sits on attractive aluminum wheels with 245/75/16 truck radials all around.Fully sorted and without the usual asterisks that accompany full customs, this C20 is ready to go. We can guarantee that it'll cause a stir without getting too loud about it. Call today!
